can these relationships ever work out or are looks just too important? i feel like i can get passed the looks but i still catch myself thinking about it. will i just obsess over it more as time goes on? i know in my past relationships the things that seem minor in the beginning grow as time passes. are looks like that or do they do the opposite, matter less as time goes on?

Looks are just skin deep, you'll get older, they will fade, so looks aren't that important.

when it comes to it becoming more important over time - I don't believe it does, because like I said looks aren't important but if they were then I don't think they would still, I think once you start liking/loving the person more and more then you'll love them for who they are and how god made them.

I don't think looks matter if you are with the right person. Once you grow to love somebody, you naturally think they are an attractive person as a whole. But if you are not in love, or are not compatible with the person you are seeing, I think looks become an issue - you can't see past a lack of physical attraction and focus on other characteristics of the person.

But, I think it is a bad idea to pick out your dates based solely on looks. It is more important - and makes you much happier - to be with someone you like or love, enjoy being around as a person, have a lot in common with, and get along with.

Someone has to feel sorry for the ugly ones.I saw an absolute princess stood in the street the other day hand in hand with what i can only describe as a monster.Honestly he was uglier that hunch himself,he looked like he had gone 10 rounds with Tyson. My only thought was what is she doing with him? Then i realised i was looking at the reflection of myself and my good lady in a shop window..Been together 15 years now and i still wonder what she sees in me as i am no oil painting and she is a princess..I must be blessed in other ways..

Half of the time the looks don't matter or else they wouldnt be in a relationship with them in the first place. Nothing makes me more happy than seeing an ugly guy with a really pretty lady! =P

Most important thing in any relationship is your mates "opinion" of you..some women worship some real idiotic arseholes..Everything is peaches and cream as long as he/she has a high opinion of you...when that becomes the opposite start looking for a new living arrangement!!

Some people care a lot about looks and some don't. You can't really help who you are attracted to. Some people that others find attractive, others don't. But if it bothers you to be with someone because you can't get past their looks, you aren't doing yourself or that person any favors.

u probably expect more in the looks department.it seems that maybe e ugly n beautiful get together, they are not shallow.maybe e ugly has a great character?or we are just brought up with this perception that beautiful is good and ugly is bad.look more in depth within ppl.

I don't think look matter as much as compatability , beauty is only the wrapping paper and only has the impotance that you put on it, you need to look inside the wrapper to find the gift

Beauty is in the heart and feeling, not in shapes and out look or view . Imagine that U & Ur sweat half in a dark room, U don't need 2 gather or fix your eyes up on him/her. ONly ROMANTIC TOUGHES,WORDS&SPIRIT do every thing.

This is why we have dating and courtship. Hang with someone for a while and determine if you are happy with them. Are looks enough? Do you need common ground? Are you most attracted to your opposite? And please shop around and don't commit to anyone person so soon you regret not having contact with others later.
