I have recently started dating my long time friend and I know he adores me. But the relationship as a couple is pretty fresh and on Thursday I called to meet him and he invited me to his workplace. Gosh. I was happy but since I had to meet him after an entire day out in the sun, I reached his office looking like some dark-skinned, red-faced rag. I mean I was sweating, my skin looked really dark from all the sun exposure and I dont know how I appeared. Apparently, he didnt seem to notice that coz he was sweet as he usually is. We stayed in his office for half an hour, talked like we normally do and then I left. I am still worried abt the impression I must have left on his co-workers and probably my guy too. Do I need to worry?

What is wrong with your skin looking dark from the sun?
He probably knows you were out in the sun and probably didn't even notice. I wouldn't even worry about it.
If it bothers you tell him that you were worried because you were all sweating from being in the sun all day and wish you could have cleaned up first. He will probably say it didn't matter or he didn't even notice.
No big deal and definitely not a blunder.

You should not care at all what others think, I know it's easier said then done but I really think that's how insecurities get started to early in the honeymoon period of a relationship. Be confident and stand tall no matter what you look like at the moment. Enjoy all these great feelings you guys are having with each other and don't sweat the little things so early on, if a guy would change his interest in you because of a opinion from a co worker on your not so top notch appearance that day the guy needs to be kicked to the curb. But that does not sound like the case, so have fun!!!!

If the guy is a type that can easily be swayed by people he just sees at work, then the guy is not exactly a guy but more like a chump.

Only worry if he actually brings it up later on. Plus since you stated that you and him were long-time friends before starting dating, it is doubtful that there would ever be a need to impress him in that type of social situation.

The only time something like that would be a problem would be if you were showing up to say a Christmas party at his place of work.

No. As a long time friend he has most likely met you in all sorts of different moods, dress etc, and as he appeared not to notice it would seem he is interested in you as a person. After all,as relationships progress we see each other in many different situations!

I wouldn't give a crap what the co-workers think. Your guy seems nice in that he didn't notice.

Just say to him next time you're talking to him that you must have looked a wreck. I'm sure he'll say you looked lovely.

Since your guy did'nt say any thing about it, I think you should forget what his co-workers will say because you are not going out with them.
