I feel really lonely. I attend a prominent medical school. I want to have a girlfriend. Yes I might be shy, but the girls I've asked eithet told me thay they are seeing someone or decline the approach after originally agreeing to go out on a date. I am not ugly. Yes my field requires alot of time committment. I have come to a point in my life that I really would need a companion. What should I do? If you want to help, please give your input. I just started college about two weeks ago, and my second day here I met a guy who I get along with very well. We literally spent all our free time together and he admitted he was falling for me, and I felt the same. However, he just told me that he still feels the same but he thinks it's a bad idea for us to spend so much time together when we don't know anyone else here. He wants us to make other friends so now we only have lunch together and I don't see him often. Does he really still like me? How do I know? I was dating this girl for about four months. Things were going great between us. Then all of a sudden things when south. She was having to work major hours work and having to cancel plans that we would make. The thing is that this didnt bother me a bit because I knew how important work was to her but it bothered her though. She started to act extremely closed off around me and then one day I finally had enough of that, so I had to talk to her. Then later that evening things ended between us. She told me that she doesnt want to have to feel bad because of work. This is why things could not work between us.

Then about two weeks later we started to hang out again and things were going great again. Then one night we were suppose to hang out and then she couldnt because of work. Then she freaked out again. The only reason that I am doing any of this is that she is the most amazing person that I have ever met. I love everything about her. I have never told her how i feel.

Why does my ex who broke up with me when I moved away to college keep calling me and says he loves me?
It's been over a year and a half since my ex broke up with me because he couldn't handle a long distance relationship (we tried it for 6 months). He has been calling me ever since..at least every two weeks..to say hi and see how I am doing. Whenever we see eachother (like every 3 months or so) we play around but never have sex. Why does he continue to keep in touch? I am seven years younger (i'm 20 and he is 27). And he even tells me that he wants me to have fun and meet other people b/c we are both "living seperate lives right now." Any ideas on what he is thinking? I don't know if I should keep talking to him because I cant seem to get over him. But then if I don't answer his calls I get scared that he'll never call me again and I love him so much. What should I do?

Been a single mom for 5 yrs. After a few bad relationships i reevaluted what i was really looking for in a partner i asked a friend of mine to give a guy i thought was what i was looking for my #. We talked on the phone here and there for about 2 wks. We talked about everything including sex. well one thing led to another and we ended up having sex before even going on a date. Not to be rude but he is not a prize as far as looks but personality is awsome and he is a great single dad. I get asked out on a weekly basis but turn them down cuz they dont seem the one for me. Well to make a long story short he hasnt called me since. i feel cheap for doing that and hope to never see him again. the problem is that our kids go to the same school in our small town and there is open house tommorrow. should i call him and say look, its obvious your not into me and i think i know why (since i gave it up to soon) or should i just hold my head up high and ignore him?
