Every guy I have dated knew how to dance, but everytime I asked them to dance, they would just laugh it off, and say that they really didn't know how to dance, Knowing I know they can dance!

Do guys consider dancing too feminine or something?

Its the display. We only want to put ourselves for our women, and only when they're around you know? I used to take my gf dancing, I'm not great but Ican get by. One night we went out with friends and they hounded me all night, heh, I had been insecure about it then, nowI've actually come to hate it. For us its putting ourselves out there, and we only want to do that for, and in front of, those who are significant, plus, when we do dance, every laugh, or sign of mirth sounds like someone is mocking us. Its a gender wide insecurity. Hope that helped at least a little.

Remember that men are mostly mechanical. For many of them, dancing is a graceful thing that they think is impossible to learn. For that same reason sometimes they lack the confidence to try it.
On the other hand, I have male friends who had paid for dancing classes in order to make easier getting to know gals at discos or clubs. ;)

I can only speak for myself. I was a very good dancer in my day, but not everything. Many times women would want to dance with me, if it were the wrong song, they were out of luck. Men like to look good, Girls will dance to almost anything, guys won't..A lot of guys don't want to be in the first bunch on the floor.

They just want to be good , not mediocre

A lot of men dont go to the clubs to dance. They only go to pick up women. Dont take it personal. Dance with your girls and have fun.

Well times have changed. When I went dancing the men asked the ladies to dance. If she declined, your offer to dance, she was'nt permitted to dance that particular dance with another partner. Two dances were reserved as "Ladies choice".He had the same penalty,if he declined the offer from one lady. Then he could'nt accept another offer, for that dance

its kind of weird for guys, but we go to clubs to dance with girls we want to meet, so then when we go together with a girl it defeats the purpose of dancing.

Depends on the guy, I think they might be embarrased by their friends or publicly... or maybe they really do NOT know.

maybe.... and even if you think they can dance, that doesn't mean that they think so.... guys can be a lot more insecure than we assume (sometimes).....
