My question is why are you in the same circle as an 18 year old and if you are in love how long have you know ner. it takes time to fall in love. Was she 18 then. I could see being having a large difference in age if she were older. But at 18 she isn't even a fully developed person yet. She will change, and trouble will brew.

She doesn't know what she's doing. You're head-over-heels but she has never loved (truly). Pursue this, and it may last 5-10 years (@ most!), but she'll always wonder about the young boys out there and that can only be suppressed for so long - she WILL act on her feelings. You'll be 50 something & no doubt she'll have something on the side that you will NEVER know about! They are WAY better @ cheating than we are. Probably 'cause we don't ask how their day was..
BEST!

Why even ask an American audience such a question? The answer is a foregone conclusion...
Personally I find nothing wrong with it!
Well , you made a heck of a splash with this one, not that I am surprised. 71 answers thus far.
John Derek was over 44 and Bo Derek was 16
Marshall was 89 and Anna Nicole Smith was 26
Hugh Hefner was 44, Barbi Benton was 20

whew! they already said everything,
all i can say, falling in love is not bad, but depends the situation. that will make it wrong.
got so many questions, that you and her should answer,
are you sure enough about yourself,
does she feel the same way,
does she understands everything, all the circumstances,
are you both prepare for all things, that people will say,
she is still studying,
how about your family and her family
now maybe okey, but how about the future, have you think about it.
your age gap is so big.
she is so young, i do not think, she is in the right track, think her future, not your needs,
try to think about this, your child on her age, fall in love with a 40year old guy

The fact that you even have to ask that question shows that you know it's wrong. An 18 year old doesn't know what's going on in the world. They like to think they do but they don't.

No woman are mere objects. Its sad but true, I never used to think that but its true, they are too dumb to realize its the smart nice guys that actually are the strongest and most protective of them than the typical alpha male arrogance they seem to be attracted to. Womens lib is a joke because it only works one way, into their own favor, it doesnt work both ways because thats not to their advantage. If women truly wanted to be equal then why to 99% want the man to take control of the relationship? If they want to be equal then it should be both sides in control, would you not agree?

Only if you'd object to your 18-year-old daughter going out with a 40-year-old guy.

I don't think age matters...she is legal. But it's maturity that matters. You may be in love but you could also get hurt in the long run. Good luck!
