I just started college about two weeks ago, and my second day here I met a guy who I get along with very well. We literally spent all our free time together and he admitted he was falling for me, and I felt the same. However, he just told me that he still feels the same but he thinks it's a bad idea for us to spend so much time together when we don't know anyone else here. He wants us to make other friends so now we only have lunch together and I don't see him often. Does he really still like me? How do I know? I know he's been hanging out with other guys (not girls) because I've seen him around. I miss him.

I think he definitely has a point, too, so that's why I want to believe him... it was just so sudden it caught me off guard, but I think he's right.

I think he does still like you. He just got done spending all that time with you. There's no reason for him to stop liking you. It's just that you both need to meet new friends. And there's nothing wrong with that. I bet he misses you too and he'll come around when he wants to spend time with you. You'll see!!

Maybe he does still like you and maybe he doesn't. He's right about meeting new people, but as friends. College is about meeting new people and trying new things. He may be blowing you off. Just because you don't see him talking to girls doesn't mean he's not. Or he could be gay and that's why he talks to guys so often. I hope everything works out for you. Good Luck!

i have a feeling he still likes you, but he may be right about spending too much time together. college is a place where you can meet all kinds of weird, funny, interesting, endearing, and crazy people. if it's really your first time at school you should broaden your horizons. on the other hand, he may be trying to keep his options open.

Give it time - don't be in such a rush to be half of a pair.

Enjoy the college experience making new friends and having new experiences and going to college to learn something, other than how to date, drink, stay awake all night and make it to class in the morning.

After he has had time to make new friends, he will be back.
