Singles & Dating - 30 July 2006

I'm a boy and I'm 17. I'm turning 18 in March. Is it normal to still be a virgin my age? I've never kissed a girl or had sex with one. Never even had a girlfriend since the 5th grade.

Everyone at school seems to have a girlfriend and have already had sex. I feel like the only boy who is still single and has never had sex with a girl.

Must I feel guilty about myself? Is it something I should be ashamed of? Is being a virgin uncool?

Before school ended, some girls harassed me at school because I'm not sexually active like everyone else. I told the principal about it, but it didn't do much good.

A lot of guys make out in the hallways at school. It kind of bothers sometimes, but I try to ignore it and try not to let it bother me.

I've never been on a date before. I would ask a girl out if I had a car. I'm taking Driver's Ed this Fall when school begins again.

Should I feel bad for being single?

Alot of people say that date a person on how they they look. What"s important they looks or how they would treat you. I'm a True Sista I would'nt date a man on how he looks. A man must present himself in a respectful manner. most of all He must be well manner if he's not. He will not treat me with the respest i deserve. If his attitude is great toward me then he is good enough for me

I'm fun and kinda cute, but I am chubby which works against me like a lot, and somewhat shy, altho at times I'm not afraid to speak my mind. I can get a bit annoying cuz I'm on the phone/IM like 90% of my waking hrs (no lie) and so like if I call and you don't answer I call back and call back like several times like once every 5 min. I really want a bf and I really dont know why guys dont like me. If u wanna see a pic of me like a couple weeks ago go to my myspace 360 page and I have 3 pics up. Tomorrow or Tuesday, I'm going to follow some of my fellow Yahoo! Answers's advice and ask a girl I like out to lunch (or at least a snack), and there we'll talk about our interests and whatnot. I have that covered, but here's my question ... what do I do next? How can I present myself at the end of lunch? Invite her to another lunch or what? Or is it just best to have the balls to say 'I like you'? I live in IN but am originally from LA. I moved back there for a month last year, right before Katrina. A guy and I started talking but I ended up moving. We talked for a whole year, almost like we were b/f and g/f. This past summer I went and visited. I called him and he came over, and we spent the next month basically by each other's side. We fell in love. Our passion for one another was so strong. Of course we moved way to fast, but other than that, we were perfect. The last week I was there was hard, but we made it. Then two weeks later of me being home, he broke up with me. We were taling about marriage and kids and . .we connceted so well. How could he do this to me? Did he use me? The things that he said to me were amazing, and even my brother was shocked that he broke up with me. I figure we would stay friends, but he ignores me. I don't know how to get over him. I think about him all the time and wonder if he thinks about me. How do I stop loving him? Thanks

My girlfriend broke up with me yesterday at my friends party, after i had brought her flowers and a teddy bear. She just kept avoiding me all evening until i finally get a note passed over to me telling me taht we should just be friends, which also means she lied because she promised me that she would tell me if something wasnt feeling right between us, and she didnt, she just broke up with me. I don't think she realizes how bad she hurt me, next day I woke up and i lost 5 lbs from the day of the party through the next day, i cant sleep at night, i can hardly eat without having the urge to throw it all up, ive had to force myself to eat all day. So I met this girl at college orientation. and over the course of the year we hung out only about 10 times because we both had busy schedules and things kinda got lost in the shuffle. It also seems like sometimes she's super ultra excited to hang out with me and other times not so much (Mixed Signals!!! Argghhhh!!). I took her to a formal and we had a great time and everything, theres incredible chemistry, but I can never get myself to find a subtle way to figure out if she really likes me as just a friend or what.
