We didn't encourage her kids to call me Dad. They just did it on their own. One was 1 year old when I met her and the other one was 2. We actually talked about marriage and all that, so it's not like we didn't see a real future. The details of why our relationship ended really don't make a difference as to my question. So, here it is: What's the best thing to do for the kids? They miss me and ask her constantly why I'm not coming home to see them. On one hand, I feel like I should at least be there for them. Unfortunately, they're not my biological kids, so is this right or wrong? Or, should I just cut ties completely. Or, should I see them less and less until they get used to the idea (while explaining to them) that I will not be around as much in the future. You know, phasing myself gradually out of their lives? Reconciliation with her is not an option. Please, only mature responses and real advice, as there are real lives involved and ultimately is not the kids fault.

putting up with this liar for years. I let it slide for too long. Now she's involved my 7 year old. GAME ON! I'm looking for some ideas on how to make it count. I DON'T want any physical harm, but I want her to wish she had never heard my name let alone spoke it. She's not breaking any laws, but it's borderline. She is spreading lies about me, my husband, and now my daughter. She is litterally striking up coversations with my neighbors and telling blatent lies. So it's time to give her a taste of her own medicine!!! I'm not willing to break any laws or bring any phisical harm to anyone. But someone needs to shut this ***** up! Any suggestions?

Okay, I'm married to a really awsome guy. I'm absolutely in love with him and would never ever do anything to hurt him. The problem is: I think I am attracted to one of his friends. I flirt with this guy, shamelessly. My husband thinks it's funny and it started out as a joke, but now it kind of scares me. My husband even jokingly calls this guy my boyfriend. Now, I can't control the flirtation. It just happens. It's like a sickness or something. The other part of the problem is: I think this guy is starting to form an attraction too.
What should I do? They are really good friends and they like to hang out together a lot. I have taken to just not hanging out when they ask me because I don't want to give any wrong impression to either one of them. I am not going to cheat on my husband with this guy or any other guy. But, I always have that pit in my stomach around them. Do you think this will go away? Has anyone else had a problem like this? I feel like a bad person.

I find being new to this site there are many questions or maybe I should say posted comments that are really racist against many different races. It really makes me sick that people on this site like to post things just to hurt people they do not know. It does not matter to me what color you are or what language you speak because we are all humans. And why does Yahoo let these people keep posting such nasty comments. Would really love to hear your answers.

Recently, I've had a new boss at work who started out friendly and is now very difficult to work with and the majority of the workload is on me. I scheduled a meeting with HER supervisor to discuss the situation - not to be disrespectful, but just so that she can give her professional insight and handle the situation appropriately. Meanwhile, I was extremely upset for having to work 2 hours overtime because my boss never reported back to the office to relieve me as she was suppose to. My cousin and friend picked me up from work and I was pissed and was discussing my situation with them and of all the damn luck, my cell hit redial for work and she picked up and heard EVERYTHING. We had to have a meeting and all of our issues were addressed and she says she's not going to hold a grudge and I did apologize for not expressing myself to her and that she had to find out that way.
What other measures can I take to remedy the situation, or is the damage too much?

I was just watching an episode of desperate housewives and one of the caracters went down to her mailbox and put mail in it. Why is she putting mail in her own mailbox?? does the mail man pick up mail she wants to post from there and posts it for her?? lol...sounds funny but i was just curious after seeing this...(as we dont do that in my country)

(im not from america and was wondering if they must do this?? where im from if we need to post letters then we have to go drop them at the post office or in a post office box which is located at different locations around the town)...not our own mailbox (but that would be handy!)

So is this what happens?

I am a student at the University of Florida. I am 19 years old, majoring in Industrial Engineering. I have my own apartment, here in Gainesville, and my family lives in South Florida (6 hours away). I have scholarships to pay for my school, but my mom pays for my car, and 1/2 of my rent.

I recently started to feel like... I'm 19, soon I'll be 20, shouldn't I start working more hours and pay my own way? I'm an adult now, but I feel like a child. I have my own place, my own car, money in the bank, a boyfriend who stays with me all the time, and I'm pretty much "on my own". No one tells me what to do, when to go to bed, do my laundry. YET, since my mom pays my car and gives me 1/2 the money for rent, I feel like I'm still some little kid.

I'm always reading on here about 18 and 19 year olds that are getting married or having kids and being "adults", and here I am living off of my parents.

What do you guys think?

If a couple have a fight, and they live together. Do you think they should go to bed angry at each other? or should it wait until the morning?

I have recently hired a babysitter for my children and I have come to suspect he is gay. I'm concerned that it will "rub" off on them, or that they will catch it or something. How soon is too soon to warn them of the dangers of homosexuality?

so my dad's friend's mom just died, and my mom says i have to go to his wake and the funeral. the thing is, though, that i hardly knew her at all and i haven't seen my dad's friend (who is sort of like an uncle to us) in like 4 years. Also, the wake is on a friday night, one of the only free friday nights i will have in a very long time and the funeral on a saturday morning. i dont mind going to the funeral, but i dont really want to go to the wake on a friday night. Am i being unreasonable and/ or selfish?
