putting up with this liar for years. I let it slide for too long. Now she's involved my 7 year old. GAME ON! I'm looking for some ideas on how to make it count. I DON'T want any physical harm, but I want her to wish she had never heard my name let alone spoke it. She's not breaking any laws, but it's borderline. She is spreading lies about me, my husband, and now my daughter. She is litterally striking up coversations with my neighbors and telling blatent lies. So it's time to give her a taste of her own medicine!!! I'm not willing to break any laws or bring any phisical harm to anyone. But someone needs to shut this ***** up! Any suggestions?

retailiate in kind.

take out an article in the local paper make up a story based on her drug addiction etc.

put her on an internet personals page with her contact phone and email.

mm let me think some more.. revenge is best served cold, ie when she least expects it.

How to Deal With a Liar

Here are some ways to deal with liars.
Steps

1. When dealing with a liar, the best policy is blinding truth. Lies always are shown in the end for what they are.
2. Keep your words soft and hold your tongue. At times this may be the hardest thing to do when presented with a lie, either to you or about you. Simply state the truth. Do not use harsh words. Do not get angry.
3. Let the lie be seen for what it is in time.
4. Most importantly make sure you do not lie. If you are known as an honest person, who never fails the truth, when a lie is said the other will be known as false. "False words are not only evil in themselves, but they infect the soul with evil". Plato
5. If one speaks lies about you, then say nothing back but the truth. Even if it hurts sometimes. "Anger at lies lasts forever. Anger at truth can't last". Greg Evans
6. Truth really is the best weapon for fighting a lie. "Truth is generally the best vindication against slander". Abraham Lincoln
7. Ask an elder for help in the matter. No matter what you are, be you 7 of 75, there is wisdom that comes with age, and presenting your problem to an elder, will often lead you to a result. Never forget that they have lived already and have the wisdom that accompanies that.
8. If a child lies that's considered immaturity, if an adult lies thats considered having an evil tounge.
9. Words are cheap, but all the money in the world can't buy back an exposed lie! Noel Gallagher.

Tips

* Speak nothing but truth. Liars hate to hear the truth because it exposes them to their reality (they have no real control over others) and that forces them to surrender control over the situation. ego shattering!

Warnings

* Anger and harsh words only leads to more hate, and proves the others harsh words correct about you. Don't be manipulated into making yourself look like a jerk this is a huge payoff (desired outcome) for a liar who backstabs and undermines others.

This is how I personally deal with such people:

1. I classify them as mosquitos who are buzzing my ears.
2. Unless and until it directly effects me I ignore it. That means they are stopping me from making advancement in my life goals. If not, then they are like dogs barking at a caravan...the caravan will still pass...my life goes on. They have no power.
3. It the barking directly effects me (slows down my caravan) then take action by documenting in writing the fact that they have made damaging false claims against you. Get the people she has spoken with to state so in writing.
4. Clarify to them your understanding of the facts.
5. Ask her for proof of her claims, otherwise to give you a written apology.
6. If they can't prove it or apologize, then try to arrange a mediation with them and a professional mediator and get a signed voluntary agreement between you (cost involved).
7. If they don't do that or follow it, then have your lawyer send them a letter asking them why we shouldn't slap a million dollar law suit against you for the damage you have illegally caused?
8. If all else fails file a case.
9. If you lose the case, then consider some of the other winning ideas in here... :)

hahah i like the first one ...this sucks, i know people like that...and they target the people close to you, not the very close, but the ones close enough to actually care about that they think...honestly i think youve been the better person this whole time..and people will see that. especially if she looks like the looney she sounds like she is... PERSONALLY if she involved my child id either threaten her in a secluded place or beat the **** outta her....i just couldnt take that but heres a LEGAL idea lol....how about you make like 20-30 signs, with posts that you can stick RIGHT in her front lawn late one night,or early in the morning so noone sees. write the SAME thing on each one...like a repeated saying (like you do when your little on the chalkboard "i will not____" "i will not ___" "i will not ___") and fill it in with something like "I WILL NOT SPREAD LIES" "I WILL NOT SPREAD LIES" and just stick em alll over her yard-on a sunday night so monday morning when everyones up bright and early, they can all see it and lauuugh...and get the point that shes a loser. Get your hubby to help so he can really bang em into the lawn so the nerd cant pluck em out that quickly...OR my fiance said you can hire her a stripper during a time when you know she will be around alot of people!!! like a stripogram and tell em to sing reaaallly loud....or a singing telegram TO HER JOB with a song along the lines of "rumors arent nice, lies arent nice" etc etc. OR you can send letters to her house saying your someone else and that your keeping a very close watch on her behavior( say your santa or god or something) just so she gets the hint and feels embarassed..sorry i dont have anything better...GOOD LUCK and let us know what u decided and how it turned out lol

Confront he in public, ask her if her life is that boring an unfulfilled that she has to make thing up about you. If that doesn't work go to the authorities an make a formal complaint.
