One of my elderly clients is hard of hearing even though she has 2 hearing aids. No matter what I mights say to contradict her she always acts like I'm agreeing with her. Sometimes its so hard to get an answer from her too as to whether or not she wants something. She just gabs on and on about irrelevant stuff.

i am having trouble deciding...

i'm 23. i have an old family friend getting married in her backyard this weekend. she and i aren't very close. i do many things with my family and it seems that this summer is booked with tons of family-related weekends and i want a weekend to get away. so i was thinking of flying to LA to ride some rollercoasters and have a good healthy break. i go to school fulltime and work fulltime. my practicum is high stress (child sex abuse cases) and i need a break soon. my family doesn't realize how much stress i'm under and they will think it's retarded that i'll go to a themepark to have a 'vacation'. should i wait 3 weeks to take a break or just go this weekend? i hate causing my family upset but i also hate catering to people just to avoid conflict; i know i can't make everyone happy anyway. so what should i do?

and felt really guilty for taking away her hapiness. I didn't cheat or anything like that. I just was honest to her and told her that I do not feel anything for her anymore, the feelings I had for her unexpectedly vanished. She was really serious about me and even would say yes if I asked her to marry me. But I didn't want to continue on fooling myself and fooling her if we continued our relationship. I just wanted us to be friends but she refused it (ofcourse she would). She was really lonely after the breakup. It made me feel really guilty. I even wished to God to take away the hapiness in my love life (if ever there is to be one) and give it all to her? Now, it has been 3 years and I keep on thinking that what I wished for came true because I've been very lonely the whole time. You think that God really took it away or is it just Karma?

me and this guy ended up being best friends after colliding w/each other during a school fire drill. i should've seen it coming, but later in the year, he wrote me a note saying that he liked me and wanted to get to know me more. at the time, i only liked him as a friend, and i told him that and i broke his heart. he was so sad for days. he bounced back, though and we were still best friends. later in the summer, we were IM'ing and he told me he loved me. i know that he does, but he doesnt act like it. he doesnt call(i always call him) and he rarely emails or IM's me. i thought it was cuz he was moving but its been a few weeks since he's moved and still, nothing! so my question is....what should i do?

Sometimes one of them will come running in the room with red marks and scratches on their necks saying the other one tried to choke them and told them they wanted them dead. I've tried to talk to them about it and tell them it's not nice, but they keep doing it to each other. Any ideas how to handle this and stop it?

gethe Code :
A Retrosexual man, no matter what the women insists, PAYS FOR THE
DATE.

A Retrosexual man opens doors for a lady. Even for the ones that fit
that term only because they are female.

A Retrosexual DEALS with IT, be it a flat tire, break-in into your
home, or a natural disaster, you DEAL WITH IT.

A Retrosexual not only eats red meat, he often kills it himself.

A Retrosexual doesn't worry about living to be 90. It's not how long
you live, but how well. If you're 90 years old and still g
cigars and drinking, I salute you. If you are still having sex, you
are a God.

A Retrosexual does not use more hair or skin products than a woman.
Women have several supermarket aisles of stuff. Retrosexuals need an
endcap (possibly 2 endcaps if you include shaving goods.)

A Retrosexual does not dress in clothes from Hot Topic when he's 30
years old.

I have a friend who recently told me that he's given up the 'street-drugs' to enjoy life better. Granted I took his word for it, but I admit it was very cautiously.

No sooner had we had this conversation, he excused himself to go to the store for cigarettes. He did not return, which was curious because he had planned to meet friends at our place.

Frustrated, I saw him later, and I confronted him about his issue. He explained his actions by giving me one story, but I knew (call it a gut-feeling) that he was lying. (His jaw was doing about 100 movements / 5 second intervals) His eyes were continually shifting and yet, he somehow believed that I was buying his bull.

Frustrated somewhat, I found myself just WALKING AWAY. The only problem I have with this, was that I feel I am walking away from a friend, who may be reaching out. yet I couldn't get past his actions of his addiction

I was just wondering if some one could tell me.
Has swinger come to mean something different than it once did.
You know sometimes words change meanings over time such as at one time gay meant happy and joyful and now it means of course homosexual.
The reason I am asking this question is that for me swinger has always had the meaning of an alternate lifestyle as explained in this link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swinger
However I see people on here listing themselves as swingers that have no interest in this type of lifestyle at all and think that it is gross or too far off the wall.
Some of these "swingers" are too young, 18 to 20 years old, to even know what they are.
Therefore I would like to know if the term has changed meanings or people are just trying to be misleading in their profiles.
As for me, I prefer the original meaning and that is what I choose to live by.
For those of you who would think that my lifestyle is gross or bad, well, all I can say is I never asked for an opinion.
Darryl
