Okay... here goes. A friend of mine is suicidal or something, but not to the point where she has actually succeeded. She's been cutting for at least a year, she's gotten herself sent to the ER at least twice for it, and been to the psych ward 4 times AT LEAST. She was put into a foster home finally, but apparently that only helped so much. Her mother is an absolute *****, if you'll please excuse my language. Alcoholic, degrading. How can I get it through my friend's blockhead skull that she's human, to stop cutting, and to actually reach out to her friends? We've told her a thousand times that if she ever needs to talk to someone, anytime, we're there, but she's never called us until it's too late. I almost had a heart attack because someone said she had died in an accident, and unless its her mom saying it, I'm inclined to believe it. The reason: her mother pulled the stunt once. Heavy subject, but can anybody help us out? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

My boyfriend has often accused me of wanting to live a lifestyle I can't afford - so all the stuff I really really want but he wouldn't approve of I put on my credit card. But now I really need to start paying this debt off but have no idea how. My salary (like my boyrfriend's salary) just covers rent,electricity,food,ph bill, petrol etc. So I can't use any of my salary to pay off my credit card. Also I need to really pay this off without him knowing otherwise he will be pissed. What can I do?

I have been with my girlfriend for a little over 2 years. In that time our relationship has been great and really strong. We have been living together for 2 years A few days ago she was out with myself and a friend. She wanted to stay out for a little longer, which I didn't have a problem with. She didn't come home that night. She had never done that before and I feared she had cheated on me, but I trusted her and let her explain herself. When I came home after work she told me she had slept with another guy. I was gutted and just didn't know what to do. She was upset too, crying and telling me how much she wished it hadn't happened. How she didn't want to lose the most special thing in her life, which was me.After a couple of days away I have calmed down a little. I just don't know if I can love her again. I want to hear from anyone that has had a girlfriend cheat on them and been able to continue the relationship.Can it work?If she did make a mistake how can she prove her love for me

My brother's 16 year old daughter is on holiday from school, and is coming to visit me.
Every year I treat her to a shopping spree.
This year she wants me to buy her thongs.
I have allocated 500 - 1000 euro for the day out, but I am not keen to buy her her first thongs.
She was very disappointed when I told her this.
I have promised to buy her as much of the pants that she normally wears as she wants, but she is not happy with this.
I know that I am her favourite uncle, but I feel that I am in danger of losing this lovely title.
Help me please.
What should I do?

I met him almost a year ago, he was about to deploy to Iraq. We talked and he said didn't want to get serious because of his deployment. Ok, no problem. When he left, he called from the tarmac to say good-bye, and he told me he would call when he arrived in Iraq. He called. I kept my feeelings in perspective. He calls when he can. I have sent him a few things. The last box i sent him a journal of letters I wrote to him when I didn't hear from him. He emailed me to tell he got the box (he never emails me). Anyway, he told me I was pretty, smart, deep, and great in bed. He then proceeded to ask me if I could cook. This is the part that threw me : he said if he wasn't so fickle he would be shalking me. At first I didn't take it seriously, but unpredictable and stalking in the same sentence...I don't know.
