sometimes mom's come across as very overprotective because they really are afraid of losing you. They are afraid that if you are away they can't help you make the right choices or protect you.
You need to tell your mom you know she raised you to know what to do. You also might want to show her that you can make good decisions, like the type of friends you hang with and things like that.
she really is just afraid of losing you and not being a part of your life anymore. You'll find the words, just don't sound desperate or she won't believe you.

Is there reason for her to worry about your behavior if you move away from home. Are you an only child? Sit down and talk to her. Explain your reasons for wanting to go to a school out of state. Reassure her you are going there for educational purposes.

IT SEEMS TO ME YOU ARE TRYING TO CONVINCE YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE MATURE ENOUGH TO FLY THE COOP, HOLD DOWN A JOB , GO TO SCHOOL AND JUGGLE A SOCIAL LIFE. IF YOU ARE READY, YOU WOULD NOT HAVE TO REACH OUT TO STRANGERS ON YAHOO TO ASK HOW TO CONVINCE YOUR FAMILY THAT YOU ARE READY TO LEAVE THE NEST AND TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS.
