One of my elderly clients is hard of hearing even though she has 2 hearing aids. No matter what I mights say to contradict her she always acts like I'm agreeing with her. Sometimes its so hard to get an answer from her too as to whether or not she wants something. She just gabs on and on about irrelevant stuff.

ahh, the ol I can't hear u trick. A lot of elderly are very lonely, and they have this little game they play, to either keep you there longer, for the attention, or just to have someone to talk to. She doesn't really want to hear u disagree, and she might also have a touch of alzheimers or something.
Just be patient with her, learn what you can from her, she's obviously lived a long time, so she does have something to offer, even if it is in between her "goings on". Learning a little piece of history never hurt anyone. Besides, you'll be there someday, how would you want to be treated? Not easy, but take it as it is.
My dad had alzheimers, asked me the same thing about ten times in about 2 minutes, and each time I'd answer like it was the first time, is frustrating, but yeah, worth it. He didn't know he was doing it, so how could I get angry at him?
