Marriage & Divorce - 2 December 2006

We have only been married for 9 months. Before we got married everything was perfect. The way he could know exactly what I was thinking and wanting just from looking in my eyes, his soft caresses and when we were apart he was always calling me and sending text messages telling me how he missed me and loved me. Now that we are married when we do talk on the phone it's just a short question and answer and the text messages stopped. We don't nearly have sex as much as I would like to or spend quality time alone with each other. His family is very important to him so we are with his brothers alot. He works about 12-13 hours everyday and goes to school 3 nights a week so I know he is very tired but I am not happy. I have tried talking to him about this and he just says "baby do you think I like working all the time and going to school". I don't know what to do, I am craving his attention and have actually turned to another man for attention. I don't know what to do someone please help me.

I have doubts about ever getting married. I am not in a relationship right now. I was in one but it didnt work out . My mothers marriage with my father was bad (he passed away when i was 5 months old.) My mom always talked good about him but now that i am older i realized and came to find out that he was no good. 90% of all my friends' parents are divorced or hate eachother.I have heard that the secret for good marriage is cheating. I notice that most marriages don't work out after 5 years or less! The only happy marriages i have seen only existed a long time ago! basically Im scared that marriage will ruin my life in the future. I have goals to become a lawyer and i don't want anything to mess it up. In my passed relationships i have claimed to be sure that person is the one, but after one year of being together it all goes to hell. So if there is anyone out there that can give me their opinion and experience about marriage please do so. Because the say life is about "being in love".

i own a business and im living with my boyfriend, who is a 27 yr old college student (he was in the military prior to college). i work all day and he doesnt. i understanding that classes are sometimes difficult...but i feel like he has no understanding of how different our lives really are.

today he helped me for about an hour, and he got on the computer,i asked him if he would help me with a few more things and he snapped at me 'god, cnat i have 3 seconds to not do anything' (i have a friend from high school coming to visit tomorrow and deadlines at work) all i wanted was one day of help...considering i usually only ask him to do like one load of laundry a week...that's it.

was i being overbearing? or is this just a difference in perspective because of how different our lives are right now?

How can i get my man to go naked more often? I am a total nudist (at home) and would like to at least sleep with him in the buff. the only time he takes it all off is in the shower (and sex). the rest of the time he insists on at least wearing a t shirt and boxers.

I have been recently helping him aid a friend (her) with her emotional stress re her live in boyfriend. The boyfriend has gone and within 2 days mine tells me he is moving in with her. He now wants me to let him stay here until he finds the right place for them to live together. This is killing me emotionally as I too suffer many anxiety and health problems. Any advice would be appreciated. How do I deal with this?

I left my husaband of 8 yrs two months ago, I married too young and fell out of love. I have secretly had feelings for my boss. The Bible tells us In Matthew Chapter 19, verse 9 the only way, you can remarry is if your spouse had committed Fornication, NOT ADULTERY, and look at 1st Corinthians chapter 6, verse 9 and 10, it tells us those who committ fornication, and adultery etc etc.so there is a differance

he's never done anything for me on my bday (present, dinner, movie, etc.). he blamed his lack of imagaination so i gave him tons of ideas and he ended up doing nothing again. he says he loves me but what's the problem here? for his birthday i go all out and plan it for a month. this is the last birthday before the baby comes and i was hoping to have it b something special

This is going to be one of those ODD questions in etiquette

I have many large pictures of family members from past marriages, or relationships, etc.

What would be the best thing to do with those?.. Throw them out, cut out a head shot of the family member, or keep them as a remembrance of what used to be?

I really don't know what the etiquette is here, but I have taken down several pictures from 'the family wall' over the years, and have this collection of couples that are no longer together. Suggestions please.. Thank You.

My soon to be ex swore there was no one else. My daughters overheard him telling someone that he loved them and that nothing could be done until the divorce is final. My daughters never wanted to go w/him but I made them. Now they are very hurt. He does not respect theri feelings. Would it be better if they not see him until they can accept we are no longer together? They are 13 & 14. Hubby was very verbally abusive to me and them -reason for the divorce.

My partner & I have been split up for 7 months & have been going to counceling to get back together. Here is the problem.---She wants to go see her monther in Arkansas for 10 days & her daughter lives in Kansas. She want to fly to Kansas City & her ex will pick her up at the Airport & drive her to see her daughter which is three hours away. She will stay at her ex's for two nights & then her ex will drive her to her mothers in Arkansas. she told me she has no choice because she doen't have enough money. what in the world do you do about a situtation like this? I never heard of anything like this if you are trying to get back together.

I have been married for almost 3 years now however I want to get a divorce. My soon to be ex husband is going to file the papers in January. Does anyone know how long it takes for the divorce to be finalized? Does anyone know how the process can be any faster? Please help I really just want to get this divorce over with.
