Okay, so there's a guy involved. I only talked to him once and he seemed pretty nice. It wasn't much, but it was still something. He asked, "Isn't your name [my name]?". I know this may seem stupid, but yea... It just made me want to talk to him more. He always hangs out with someone, most of the time a group. So I ask you these three questions.
o01.What are good ways to start a conversation with someone you don't talk to that often?
o02. What are easy ways to get to talk to them when they are mostly surrounded by people all of the time?
o03. What would you do if the conversation just "went down the toilet" if you actually got a chance to talk to them?

I am Black and one of my best friends is Asian American. We have been close friends for over 10 years but when I starting dating an Indian guy (he's originally from India) she made racist remarks about Indians! She says things like "don't trust them" and makes fun of Indian culture. It really hurts me because she has been a good friend for so long and I totally love my boyfriend. I don't know what to do. Im in depression. But i've been praying for God to help me through this with someone I can seriosuly trust and help me through everything. I think he came. I don't like this guy, like love...just as a friend. One day I stood up for him because everyone was making fun of him and calling him a napkin and wiping their hands on him. Then I stood up for him. Ever since we've been emailing eachotehr and have been friends. I think hes my help, and He says im his. Do you think so? Is this a good thing? I am so upset right now, lately my friend has been acting like she does not want to be bothered. I haven't done anything to her, all I do is help her and she is turning her back on me. The other day I was hurting and I needed ear. I kept calling her and she wouldn't answer her cell. So I texted her...I am dating her brother, but she is my best friend. I told her me and him broke up. And she never called me when I said I needed someone to talk to. Me and him are back together now, today when I talked to him he told me she called him and said "I heard you guys broke up" I was bothered by that because she never called me to check up on me. And the many times I had to sit there and listen to her sad stories, and babysit her kids, and give her money and some of everything. She rubbed it in his face because she had been a little jealous of him because he just bought a car. So to see him sad or doing bad...it seems to pleases her a little. Do you think I should see her as just his sister?

i think this is totally unfair but here's the situation:
after work, me and a mate walk home together coz we live close by. thing is, she's in a different department to me. i always say i'll wait for her when the day's over and i wait. whenever i leave a bit later - just a few mins later, she never waits for me, she just makes an excuse, saying she needs to pick up her little sister from school but her sister's school really close to her home and she says the same thing over and over again when i confront her. i really don't like the way she's treating me, she's taking me for granted.
should i just forget about her?

My friend and I haven't talked for about 17 days and just yesterday morning, she e-mailed me saying "hey, havent talked to you for a long time, hope everything is well" She was being really mean to me on valentines day so I got sick of it. on my bday, she emailed me saying happy bday and i told her "u2" because we have the same bday. Cant get over the pain of someone I thought was my friend betraying me. Its been 3 years, I have new friends and everything but it still hurts. Today I found some old stuff from before she betrayed me and my old friends(ones gone and the other hates me), I even found the necklace I was wearing the day she betrayed us, I look at the stuff and I get this cold feeling and I feel sick!!! I REALLY need help getting over this. Also what can I do to stop feeling so cold, chilled to the bone and sick when I look at the stuff.

me and my boyfriend,plus my best mate and her boyfriend all used to go out on saturday nights.we always had a great time,but recently me and my boyfriend split up.since then,i've been going out with other mates,and also still seeing my best mate and her bf.however,i'm not seeing her this saturday as her n her bf have been invited to ther mate's party.So she suggested us going out together on friday night instead,so we see eachother for a few hours at least.Then she announced she had her cousin's party to go to that night and her bf was invited too.I felt a bit hurt by this,and she said 'oh well you can come too...' and trailed off.I need her right now because i'm feeling terrible after the break up too and it hurt a bit.Should i confront her about it?

I have this friend We used to best friends for 14 years now. But yet I am not sure if she is still my best friend and if I should still keep her as my friend. She is acting weird.

She has very strict parents. Even though she is almost 19 years she is not allowed to do anything. She has to ask for everything and her parents almost always say "no". Even if she justs wants to visit me and I do live in the same house....

She always was mad about her parents but now she suddenly changed. She now says that her parents are right and that its ok if they forbid her everything. She says that her parents cannot allow her stuff because then her younger sisters would want to do it too. (They aren't even that young! 16 and 17!)
I said this was stupid but she really meant it!

What is the matter with her? Should I just forget about her? I mean what a friend is that, who cannot visit me or go shopping with me or something because her parents forbid her to?

am extremely shy & the fact that I never seem to work up the nerve to look people in the face is become ever more evident to me. Even if i hookup with someone, i noticed that i can't look the guy in the face (you are probably asking, if you are so shy how are you hooking up?...well im in college and alcohol is usually involved)
I also notice that it is WORSE after I get close to them, in the hookup scenario. I may be able to flirt a little, but then when it becomes clear about what may happen and after it does happen, then i can't look at their faces.
In general, if i don't know a person well i find it hard to look at their face. I work at a food service place and sometimes it is hard for me to look at the customer when i am handing them their change for instance.
I guess i am just afraid of what i might see if i have to look at them. I am afraid the facial expression will be negative.
Does anybody know what i am talking about? have experience? what about the hookup thing? help?

One day my best friend just said "i hate you" dont talk to me ever again, she said that she has forgiven me too many times and that i am a high matenience friend that no one deserves. I'm considering deactivating from my sorority. I love most of the girls, and if they had not been around, I probably wouldn't be alive right now. Some of my best friends are members. It's just that my mom is trying to convince me to deactivate because of money issues. I do have a few slight issues, but they aren't bad, and I can work through those. It would be nice to not have to worry about what type of meeting it is, though, and not have to worry about being good enough (i'm not talking the normal good enough, i'm talking about grades and stuff). I don't know. I know right now I'm on special status because I'm less than full time. Because of that I can't even participate. I'd feel horrible leaving my mom (big sis) all alone because her other dot (lil sis) transfered last year. I know this is a decision that I should make, but I'm really split.

For those who don't understand whats happening take a minute to read this...

Anyone can report abuse on a answer or question .
the more violations you get yahoo Bar you and you lose your yahoo id maybe you chat to friends on messenger or use yahoo email after getting barred its gone the email and user name can't even access email addresses or friends on messenger ....
Some members have been getting all questions or answers reported they have been in the yahoo guidelines and because of a report of abuse they get deleted yahoo don't seem to read them and you get the chance to say your point when you get told of the violation and explain it wasn't abuse and you wait and wait and yahoo never gets back or fixes the error.
Think about if you lost your yahoo ID by someone being mean and spitefull how would you feel?
This is why loads are cross.
