Cant get over the pain of someone I thought was my friend betraying me. Its been 3 years, I have new friends and everything but it still hurts. Today I found some old stuff from before she betrayed me and my old friends(ones gone and the other hates me), I even found the necklace I was wearing the day she betrayed us, I look at the stuff and I get this cold feeling and I feel sick!!! I REALLY need help getting over this. Also what can I do to stop feeling so cold, chilled to the bone and sick when I look at the stuff.

Understand that everyone you interact with in life brings you a lesson. That lesson may be painful, but it was indeed a learning experience for you.

Get rid of all the stuff that brings back memories of her. Move on. In your mind and heart, bless her and wish her well. Thank her for the lesson and forgive her. Then, forgive yourself for allowing the hurt to continue for three years. Let go and move
on. You have my permission to release the hurt and betrayal and go out in the world and make new friends.

This may seem odd, but until you forgive her, you'll never get over it.
By continuing to hold her actions against her in your mind, (however justified you may be, this isn't the point), you keep the animosity alive, and yourself trapped in the emotions of the betrayal.

Forgive her, let it go. If necessary, get rid of the "stuff"
It's just stuff. But I think you'll be surprised to find that once you've truly forgiven her, the "cold" feeling will dissipate.

I know it is very hard.My wife I met when I was 14 did that to me.We were married 23 years.I found that until I was willing to forgive her and pray for her in real sincerity The pain would not go away. The healing begins in forgiveness.

either start writing out a story about it, its not to be seen by anyone, but contains all your feels and the story abuot it. light it on fire on a calm night, and watch it burn away.
take time to recognise your not the same person as you were 3 years ago, and also that everyone makes mistakes, poeple come in and out of our lives. if the things like jewelery still bother you, get rid of them. focus on the now and the future!

Wow!! What did she do to you for you to hate her this much?? What I do when I get TOO ANGRY is tak a peice of paper. Write her name down and write all the horrible things you feel about her. After that..read it... and than rip it up!! IT made me feel better

Only think of the good things. That don't mean forget the lesson you learned from the bad things. But, always enjoy the good of things; they are there and they shouldn't be lost.

Maybe you could get help or put the things away some where you don't have to look at them
