Okay, here's the lowdown-
A while back, a friend of mine asked to borrow my MP3 player so he could copy some songs to his computer. When I asked him to return it, he said he forgot it at home. I thought, no biggie, he'll just return it tomorrow. This went on for a while. Somewhere along the path, he said that the principal confiscated it from him. I asked the principal, and he said that the MP3 player must have been returned, because he didn't have it. The friend says he doesn't recall getting it back, he is unsure of whether or not he got it back, and that the MP3 player is either at his house, or the principal has it, and neither one can be confirmed.
What should I tell him? I don't wanna be a jerk about it (because he's a good friend of mine), but I want my MP3 player back! I'm in a bind here, and I just don't know what to do. Please help!
