Tell her that you can't be friends anymore. Because, if this girl really liked you, she would like you for who you are, popular or not. Tell her that.
I agree with Blondie, tell her off, and tell her off GOOD.

Oh! Maybe you should have a talk with her and explain to her how you feel, if she really is a friend then she'll want to be friends with you more than being popular...
Start joining other clubs just in case, volleyball, soccer, art etc...
You'll start making new friends and have something to do that makes you happy...
Best of luck,

talk to her and if it bothers u tell her your feelings and only a true friend will like u for who u are!!! :) if she doesnt get it, hang out with other friends or make new friends by joining a team, activity or club and socialize with people who enjoy doing the same thing as u. best of luck

Be yourself. You don't have to change just because you're not popular. Let your friend decides if she wants to continue with the friendship. If not, move on with your life around your own circle of friends where you feel comfy. You don't have to live life to suit others.

gee this sounds like some public school with rich cheerleaders of somthing. if she is too embarassed, then leave her alone until she figures how hard it is to fit in the popular group. you may sooner or later find you the right crowd, good luck.
