Well, I moved to a new place not too long ago, so I obviously had to made new friends. I became friends with one guy in high school not too long ago (I can't really remember when, but I'm guessing about 2 months ago), and now his birthday is coming up (as so is mine, actually. Out B-days are 1 one apart), and I was wondering: How much should my present to him be worth?
Before I moved here, all my old friends were my firends since I was about 10, so I know what kind of presents to give them. But I'm not sure about how expensive of a present I should get for a "new" friend. A present worth $20? $30? $50?
(I don't want to make him and his parents think that my family and I are "cheap", but I don't want them to feel uncomfortable either, if we give them like, a $100 present, and they give us a $30 one or something like that)

the best thing to do is to find a present that he would really like. try to do this while keeping a budget of $20. That way, even though you spent twenty bucks, you'd be getting something he really likes and that'll count towards your friendship more than how much you spend on him. QUALITY - NOT QUANTITY
