im a sophmore now and i realized that i need to socialize though. but for some reason i cant seem to make many friends. i have some, but i could use some more. I can't join a club or sport so don't suggest that.

how do i make friends while I am in class?

i have this friend, lets call him matt. he's this guy i just knew for about, 2 or 3 weeks. or more, i dunno. i seriously think that he's retarded cuz he's like 23 but he acts like a 7 year old.

when i met him, i like had a 5% crush on him, but know i am seriously annoyed by that guy. he always annoys me by saying: 'i shall kick you!' just like a typical 7 year old.

please help me...

before he really wants to do something to me...

if he does..

i'll kick his balls..hahahahaha

theres this boy i have been talking to online & i basically know everything about him. but i want to be able to just talk to him not keep asking questions. any suggestions?

** something that would keep going & not end after a couple minutes
& something that would not bore him, like he likes sports, rock/rap music, etc. but i don't know how to make that into a conversation

I was at a party with my crush, lets call him alex, well he and i were hanging out together. He's a good friend of mine and likes me too, but we've kinda lost touch. That night I told one of my guy friends there, that i used to like alex (even though i still do). Next time i saw him, this friend told me that in the morning alex asked what happened the night before. He convinced him that alex and i hooked up a lot. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TELL HIM THAT IT WASN'T TRUE!

I know that it didn't happen because i was there, but how do i tell alex that they were just messing with him. should i have a bit of fun with it all?

We are both 16 and she ran away from home last night and is staying at one of her female friends house. Her dad recently returned from Iraq and they've had a lot of arguments and he's been drinking quite a bit. She ran away after a particularly bad argument, according to her friend. She has been listening to this song called Runaway Love a lot and she keeps telling me how good and sad it is. The songs lyrics talk about young girls being abused by their fathers and unhappy. I didn't read anything into it because she hasn't seemed depressed or anything, and i haven't noticed any bruises or cuts. I haven't had the chance to talk to her yet. I'm male and a close friend of hers but not her boyfriend. We talk a lot about private things and our pasts and im quite sure that she trusts me a lot.

Basically i want some advice on how to ask her if her Dad has ever hit her, how to to do it so she won't feel like she has to lie if he does and how to tell if she's telling the truth.

He's a teacher's son but I dont have the same feelings for him and he doesnt know I know he likes me. He acts shady when my girl friends ask him do he like me. His guy friends are all ways picking on him and he loves to mess with me. I just dont like him as a boyfriend thats gross. I just like him as a friend. I have this friend, although he can be really nice in person, he bad mouths everyone behind there back. Yet, although people constantly berat him for it, they still remain friends with him. Although, last night he went tooo far bad mouthing me, now i want to get back at him. My mom's 50th birthday is in May and I have decided to ask all her friend's, family, aquaintences, and co-workers to send a letter wishing her happy birthday or if they feel inclinded, a letter telling what she means to them and how she has impacted their lives. I know my mother sometimes feels that no one cares for her. She's had a lot of disappointments in her life and I think this gift will just be amazing.

For my 14th birthday:
-20 people (guys and girls)
- Bowling (costing £105 altogether)

I want to do something else, im trying to be nice to my mum and not spend too much!
I want to be able to lounge somewhere and chat but not at my house cause my dad would kill me, if i brought unhealthy snacks, where would be be able to lounge and have laughs for free? I live in edinburgh btw, it doesn't have to be anywhere in Edinburgh, just ideas!

I am 14 years old, but not quite...um...developed fully yet, so guys never look or talk to me. I have this one friend that likes to rub it in my face because she is a 34B, has had many boyfriends, and is basically a normal teen. So yesterday, she was being really mean, because my 12 year old sis thought that she got her period, and I got my first one 2 months ago. She got all up in my face and started cracking up saying things like "2 years apart, 2 months apart, I'm sorry that's just sad!" Then she made fun of me for having a flat chest (my sis is more developed in that area) she told me that I would never get a guy because of the way I look. I told her that she couldn't come over to my house, but then she asked my sis if she could come over, and she said yes. I spent the whole day in my room! How should I respond to her behaivior?

We both signed up for this overseas excursion. In fact, she saw the sign up sheets and signed ME up. Then we both went for the interview. She was really nervous and wanted to go real badly, and I was much calmer partially because I hadn't made up my mind fully about whether going was a good idea, and I knew that if I got in, I'd be happy, but if not, I could see a bright side.

The results just came out on the school website (which I frequent and she doesn't). What do I do?

My mum has advised me not to tell her because it would upser her greatly. But she's going to find out from others in school tomorrow, and she knows i frequent the site.,

Also, other people who got in texted me telling me I got in, so I can't feign ignorance of the fact I'm in if my friend asks me infront of those people.

What should I do!?
