I was at a party with my crush, lets call him alex, well he and i were hanging out together. He's a good friend of mine and likes me too, but we've kinda lost touch. That night I told one of my guy friends there, that i used to like alex (even though i still do). Next time i saw him, this friend told me that in the morning alex asked what happened the night before. He convinced him that alex and i hooked up a lot. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TELL HIM THAT IT WASN'T TRUE!

I know that it didn't happen because i was there, but how do i tell alex that they were just messing with him. should i have a bit of fun with it all?

If he is your friend you just tell him.

Tell your crush named Alex that you and your other friends were just joking around and you didn't mean any harm. Laugh it off while you're talking to him about that. You should also talk to the guy that told him because he shouldn't have said anything to him to begin with. It's not nice playing with people's emotions, especially if Alex does like you (or not). Reassure Alex that you still want to be friends with him and you want that to last for a very long time. Do what you think is best. I hope this helps. Good luck.

That is a very mean thing to do.

Maybe Alex tries to compile data sometimes and even if he thinks something MIGHT have happened, it would be idle speculation, so maybe he would be thinking 50:50 maybe.

Anyway, if he is like me, and most men are to some extent, he would be kinda hurt potentially maybe, especilly if he really likes that girl. Then he would try to think up reasons why he didn't want her (just to ease the pain and situation) (cuz maybe he can't get her) even though he does want and love her. Sometimes we can learn to be stronger from situations like that. Mostly we have to try toconvince ourselves it had no chance or we didn't want that person. If when we know we need somebody and can't really forget or do without him or her.

thats happened to me already so here's my advice: go talk to your friends first. tell them their positive side at first. then followed by the main question: 'why did u guys tell alex completely false and untrue lies about me?' if they just tell u it was a joke, you say 'what if i told your crush that ur a stripper (or any other jackass job) huh? what would u do?' then talk to your crush. explain to him what your so-called friends did 2 u then tell him the truth that you're not really like that.

I hope my advice will work with your situation.

p.s. tell this to your friends if you're so totally mad at them:

GET A LIFE MORTAL!!

FIND SOMEONE ELSE YOU CAN TALK TO!!

don't worry if you really like alex and he also likes you then go ahead and tell him that your friends were only having fun. or tell the guy who said so to apologise to alex.
