Friends - March 2007

There is a guy who is really dear to me, but has a hard time finding confidence in himself. This makes it very difficult for him to go out and approach people to make friends. He used to do drugs and is now in a stage of recovery and cleanliness. He feels that he dosent know how to be social without using drugs first. I want him to be able to meet both men and women who are leading a clean lifestyle. Any advice on how to help him out??

but ive liked this girl for a few months; we went out for like a month; my best friend started to incessantly flirt with her and that eventually caused her to have a crush on him, then she broke up w/me, but then my best friend invited her to the movies and made out w/her... what can i do?
and now he has moved on to my other best friend's crush and has started flirting with her, now hating the girl i like (and now im supporting her in her time of need) so wat should i Do?

Would you go?
Ok I met this girl at this store, she works there, shes cute and she would kinda smile at me and I would kinda smile back and so on until we came to talking (She talked to me first) She told me that her birthday just passed so I sent her some flowers with a ? on them so they wouldn't know who they were from and I guess she liked them. Then one day we ran into her at a club and got to know each other for about an hour. When we left she said thank you for the flowers (she found out some how). and I told her to come to my family's restaurant sometime. Well she did one day before she went to work, and then also the next day as well but I wasn't there, but she text me asking what I was doing and I found out that she was there again.

The question I guess I have is would you go visit a guy (at his work, 2 days in a row) that you barely knew if you weren't interested in him? (Would you do that if you only wanted to be friends?)

I would like a parent's opinion on this...

i recently found this web-site through my daughter who was very upset. I stumbled upon it on accident actually. She wrote NUMEROUS notes about how she was upset about prom and her friends ditching her asking people for advice. I confronted my daughter about this and she started crying. She seems VERY VERY upset over this whole situation.

I suggested to my daughter that she and some of her friends that are NOT attending prom and or some underclass friends go to the shore the weekend of her prom. She agreed to this. The thing is that in the U.S. one cannot rent a hotel room under the age of 18. So..I am renting three rooms for my daughter. One for 4 girls One for 4 Boys and one for My daughter's boyfriend's mother and I. I plan on being down there in case of an emergency but I am telling all the mother's if they ask that I am not and will not be held responsible for there children or the actions of there children.

is that good parenting?

I've been in my drama group for about 9 months now, and on the Friday sesions we have people with special needs join us and I basically help run the class aswell as take part.
About a month ago, a guy joined. He has quite bad special needs and he basically has the mental age of a 6 year old.
When he first joined he just asked me whether I liked Avril Lavigne and I said I did; after that he constantly talked to me about her and every time we have to go into partners he runs to me and pulls me away. Then about a week or two later he kept saying "I like your hair" and "you are really beautiful" and stuff like that. It's been getting worse over the weeks and as soon as I came into drama this week he shouted "I LOVE YOU!" at me and he kept asking if we can do a duet; plus he keeps asking for my email. When he talks to you he goes right u to your face and spits when he talks and when im lying on the ground chatting to my friends he sits RIGHT next to me! What shall I do I hate it!

I have a good friend who regularly invites my husband and me to dine with her at her home. My husband likes my friend, but he hates her dog and refuses to attend these dinner parties because he says her dog is untrained and unruly. He (the dog, not my husband) jumps on guests and sits by the table begging throughout dinner--it IS very annoying. So, I go to her house without him and I usually make some excuse for his absense. This has been going on for about a year.

Recently, my friend has asked if my husband and I are having problems because he never accompanies me. She has also asked me if he doesn't like her or her cooking since he avoids her dinners.

How can I tell her the truth without hurting her feelings? She LOVES this dog as if it were her child. The truth would devastate her.

Please do not recommend that we all go out for dinner instead. My friend really loves entertaining in her home.

Also, please note that my husband does not hate all dogs--just this one!

my best friend since last thursday seemes to have distanced himself from me. By that i call him and he dosent answer or call me back. he hardly calls me and when we talk he seems to not be able to look at me? Recently, I got a boyfriend who i'm going to marry. My friends weren't happy for me, at that time I was the only one who was in a relationship so for them it was hard to understand i didn't have as much time as b 4 to hang. The whole thing went sour. One of my friends got really jelious. A lil b4 i got a bf i was distancing myself from her. When things got ugly I basically I had enough of her drama and it was easier to stop being frnds with her. My other frnd stop being friends with me cuz of her. I mean the problem was between her and I not me and him. My other friend apparently liked me and i guess it was hard for him to be happy for me, so he right after stopped talking to me, by the way he's the jeliouse girl lil bro. my hair is dark naturally but i recently went blonde everyone said it was lovely and it suited me.so i stayed that colour for a few months until my mum(love her 2 bits ) who is honest to the point of insult told me it didnt suit me at all.ive now dyed my hair back dark and everyone tells me its much nicer dark. should they have told the truth at the start?

If you know that he/she is not working & you have loanded this person money in the past that they have yet to pay back? He/she is saying that they will pay you back as soon as they can. If you don't loan this person the money, they are going to have all sorts of things turned off or repossessed. Do you still offer up the loan?

I have this friend and he has been going out with this girl for a couple months. He was known as the funny guy, the cool guy, he was just so awesome and everyone liked him. Now that he has this girl in his life he pretty much forgot about me and all of his other friends and now his girlfriend has the nerve to IM me and say nasty things to me. Not that it wasnt already bad she made it that much worse. My friend knows we still care about him but all he cares about is "his girl" he wont even call anymore, he wont go to the movies unless she can go, he wont even sit with us at lunch cuz shes not welcome. We dont want her there cuz honestly no one there likes her cuz of the things she says and does. Why should we welcome her if she cant even see the fact that he has friends. Please help ... I am a girl who just moved to a new city and going to a whole new high school. I miss my friends and I am afraid to make friends.
