LOL! My daughter's name is Elizabeth.
I don't know about the others, but Elizabeth is one of the oldest names on the planet. You can tell, because it has dozens of nicknames, and it is in languages all over the globe, including the Sanskrit, Hebrew, and the Romance languages.
My favorite quote about it is from Pygmalion (later 'My Fair Lady'):
HIGGINS
Whats your name?
THE FLOWER GIRL
Liza Doolittle.
HIGGINS
[declaiming gravely] Eliza, Elizabeth, Betsy and Bess, They went to the woods to get a bird nes':
PICKERING. They found a nest with four egg in it: HIGGINS. They took one apiece, and left three in it.
They laugh heartily at their own wit

how about this concept,...
1) their parents were lazy; the mom was too doped up on pain killers to care while the dad selected her name.
2) If the dad picked the name, as a personal joke - for example it was the name of the whore he was seeing on the side that his wife still doesn't know anything about. He named his baby girl, to give his favorite plaything a homage.
3) Neither one picked her name, it was whom ever was filling out the documents for the baby. and the parents didn't care at the time, so who ever gave them the suggestion - won out.
Because its such a common ordinary boring name.
cheers babe!!
