i have a best friend who is v pretty, confident and quite a lucky person. i on the other hand am more cynical and pessimistic. but she is quite selfish...she never wants to hear anythin about me...she goes on and on 4 ages about her life and when i mention anything bout mine i get 1 word answers. its got to the point where i feel uncomfortable mentioning anything. id understand it more if she was the insecure 1 but she has a gd job, shes in a proper relationship...so i dont understand. recently i met someone and bein a girl its natural 2 chat 2 your mates about it..but as soon as i mention it she goes straight into a full on discussion bout her own love life. does any1 have any ideas why this might b happening? i love her 2 bits but dont feel like i can confide in her anymore & isnt that what best friends r 4?

this girl was my friend for a very long time and most of the girls hated her for stupid reasons. i was the only person that really understood her and wasn't mean to her. now she is hanging out with the very girls who hated her more than she is with me. she never invites me over to her house and when i ask if i can go over she says she is busy. then i hear her talking to the other girls wanting them to come over everyday! whats worse is one of the girls she hangs out with now has done this before and she has the rep. to switch friends on you and talk behind your back. i don't care if my friend has other friends than me but i don't want her to just drop me. this whole situation is getting very confusing and i don't know if i should try to repair our friendship
!please help!
also i think she might be hanging out with them for popularity

hey. i have a lot of good friends, but i also want to make some new friends. i was wondering, how do you get to know someone and then become their friend. i know that sounds weird but i am a little shy [until you get to know me, cuz then when we hang i get to be hyper and more open] but yeah im shy until you get to know me, so i was wondering how i can make new friends?what are some ideas?
also. at my school there is like this know it all. he tries to perfect everything, especially in german class. most people don't like him, but i'm starting to think he can be nice [he is, but most ppl make fun of him cuz he does stupid things like write HI on the board ...] and im starting to think that he isn't as weird as most think he is and would like ot get to know him and maybe become friends. it is hard though b/c like i said earlier i am a little shy, and he isn't quite the best person to be associated with... so how can i do this? he does seem nice to get to know.

shes very ugly and wears ALLOT of makeup! She got this bf who everyone knows and becuase of hi everyone started to talk to her before no one new who she was! Everyone always compliments her now that say shes the coolest person in my class and that her and her new bf rock my class(her bf is in the same grade as us) people still sya shes ugly and that they hate her but when they see her they say your a princess your gorgeous and i dont know why they lie to her! Before she hooked up with her bf he used to talk to me and he was soo nice to me and now hes so rude and mean when she not around he still is nice and he goes and gets me stuff then when she sees it he starts laughing at me! Shes my friend but i realy get annoyed by her her sister also becuase of her everyone loves the younger sis and there both very UGLY! There very s l u t y! and guys go crazy over them and i dont know what they see in them! And did i mention they wear TONES of makeup and there realy UGLY!! HELP!!!

class everyone knows her and loves! and it soo annoying everyone says to her your so cute! And its annoying and its kinda hurts my feelings! before this guy that shes dating used to be soo nice to me and know he turned into and *** and all his friends say that his changed and sometimes when shes not around he turns soo nice again! Ok theres this huge dance coming up and its the biggest dance of the year. I didnt have a date last year either and i had a horrible time all my firneds have dates except for me. guys just dont like me. like seriously no guys like me, popular,cool,nerdy or average guys dont like me,and iv tried asking them out before but i just get rejected..anybody that went out with me would just be a joke. what can i do?

My cousin and some friends held an "intervention"

I am 24, I use to play competitive tennis, basketball and crazy about weightlifting. This was about a year and a half ago in university, I am 5 11 and use to weight 190 but I had a six pack....now I am 170 skinny with a small stomach. I stopped doing everythinig because of work...now I am not fat or big or anythinig by any means...

Anyways, I go to my cousin's house and there's some of my friends who are like "Listen we have to talk"

"You've let yourself go"
"Stop eatting so much food fatty"

They wouldn't let me go and came with to sign up for my old gym...while I was there some old gym members saw me and were like "what happened to you? You look different..."

I was very embarrashed...

Was this a good thing that they did?

well there is random guy in college who i just used to see on the stairs and roaming about. one day we just talked and all... after i found he was a friend of a friend.
well now he has been like making a lot of eye contact, i find him in the biology department (where i am) alot more while he is an engineer.
we sometimes have lunch together, and i always end up talking to him in the common room. today he came all the way to my lab (which no one ever comes to) just to say that he was leaving for home. my lab is like away from civilization at college.
does he like me? or is he just trying to be friendly?

ok so heres the deal i have a huge crush on one of my really good friends. he found out from someone that i liked him and now evrything is so weired. i like him a lot but i dont think he likes me that much. everyone of my friends tell me we would make a really good couple but i dont think it will ever work out which really depresses me sometimes.... but then if we ever do get togeather what then? what if we brake up what would happen to our friendship? oh yeah and somehow almost my entire swim team found out! that makes things so ockward because he is also on the swim team and ugh!! i am in quit a pickle.... help please?

This kid is just an acquaintance but is pretty nice to me. He never had any problem accepting me in groups or sitting next to me in class, (we happened to sit next to each other in two different classes) and was pretty nice. You know, he'd sit next to me and this other girl he was pretty close friends with and if she wasn't there most of the time he'd move to sit with other friends but thats understandable because I'm so shy (but nice) and I don't really talk to people that much. But the only thing that made me wonder is they blocked me from myspace, which might mean nothing. I mean the kid is pretty selective about who is on the friend list, I mean, its like you have to meet certain criteria or whatever, and takes people on and off for apparently no reason. He hates some of them but doesn't hate others. And you can usually tell if he hates someone because hes mean or doesn't try to be nice. With me and this other girl he took off his list he is civil at least. And the other thing that makes me think he doesn't hate me is that the other night when I got to a party I was going to sit in a chair in the living room and he said sit on the couch with him and some other girls. Maybe he just thinks I'm too shy or something, and theoretically if you block someone they don't know they have myspace so that way I wouldn't know, but I mean I can't help it you shouldn't judge people like that.

2 kids and am married. i still feel like baby boomers talk to me like i am just a kid. i dont look like a kid and have pretty masculine features.is this a common problem? do a lot of others in their late 20s and early 30s experience this? how do you get them to stop looking at you like a kid and as an adult? i am mostly referring to this issue in the workplace.

when i have an argument with my husband he doesnt talk to me for days but me even the same day i get over it and forget what happened its cuz i love him. like with my cousins he argued with me about somethng so stupid and stopped talking i said hi the next day and he wasnt the same he acted as if he didnt want anything to do with me, i know alot of people who do this they just stop speaking as if throwing a person away is so easy for them doesnt matter at all if the persons gone. i get mad too but i understand that those people r important in our lives im not going to stop speaking to my husband for days based on how he one day woke up early and slammed the bathroom door.why do they stop speaking for
