Well, if he's older he may have a bad memory. Calling you or anyone else by a 'pet name' gets him by.
If it really bothers you, I have to ask why?
If you it's REALLY important for him to call you by name, tell him so, and when you see him, smile, wave and say HI! I'm (what ever your name is)

Everytime he says it -- just say your ONE WORD name. That's it. PS -- He wants to sleep with you (or at least fantasies about this). But, he can't remember your name. He's either very much older than you, or italian. Either way, he's unskilled in the verbal area - and this is his playful way of flirting a la 1950's or 60's Frank Sinitra-speak. Ring a ding ding, baby! Advice on stopping this? You can't stop him, and as ESPN says: "you can only contain him". By saying your name, every time you now only lower the annoyance factor (of you overtalking) and him forgetting the name by the time you've caught your breath... but, it's a Pavlov's dog type of thing. Ex. Baby = "Julia". Honey = "Julia". Sweetheart = "Julia". cabeesh?

I would simply say " I don't mean to be rude, but It makes me uncomfortable when you call me sweety etc... my name is greeneyed..."! I wouldn't make them feel like a jerk though unless you feel like they're trying to be sexist or something of that nature. It's most likely that they are just trying to be friendly and make a comfortable relationship between the two of you. However, if it really seems creepy, tell them flat out that it seems creepy. If it stops, great and if it doesn't I would just take myself out of the situation and find new living quarters!

Talk to your lanlord and let him know very nicely that you don't like him calling you names such as baby, sweeheart, etc. Tell him that you've already mentioned this to him before and you don't want to have to tell him that again. You can also tell him that you would really appreciate him calling you by your real name. I hope my advice helps. Good luck.

Tell your landlord you won't pay on time if he doesn't call you by your first name.Or you can also ask someone bigger than you(brother, uncle, friend or your father)to confront him.
But make sure you look respectful too so he won't accuse you of asking for it.

The next time he does it stop him, make him look you in the eyes and say " please call me (your name), my name is ..."by making him stop and directly look you in the eyes when you tell him this, he'll make a mental note (hopefully) to make sure he calls you by your name next time. It will also let him quietly know that you don't like him calling you the other names

I have never really been in this situation but my best advice would be to confront him about it. Tell him that it bothers you and that in the future he needs to call him by your first name.

Move....if he won't quit callinging you those things and it annoys you just move. If you cannot afford to move have a chat with him about it and tell him how you feel, that you are uncomfortable with these pet names. Insist that he please call you by your name or just plain Miss if he can't remember names.

Pick an embaressingly weird nickname for him. Unless you feel it's verging on sexual harassment, it's only just annoying to you.
So, pick your battles. This would be a cute time to fight fire with fire.
