Friends - February 2007

Ok, i worked in illinois for a year in 1991-1992 where i workd as a volunteer at the Arlington Heights Teen Centre.

There i met a girl who i became friends with caled Jill Templeton (now marred - not sure of marrie dname)

She worked as a school teacher, younger children, moved to florida, married then back to illinois, buffalo grove i think.

I have moved to Redcar to be with my new bloke who i am havving a baby with and we are getting married. Things are fab but all my family and friends live 50 miles away. I have no one here that i can pop to for a chat, pop out shopping, cinema with which i am finding really hard.

How can i make new friends. I work at the minute 9-5 and have a 3 year old already. its hard to find time for anything?

Now I can't decide should I pursue engg as a career or start taking professional training in vocals.I know I can be a successful singer but at the same time I can even have engineering as a successful career.I have to take an early decision since the placement drive in my college is going to start from march 07.Please guide me taking into consideration the fact that my parents are not financially too strong to provide me with a professional training in singing.Please suggest me.

i have this friend and we used to be pretty close tilll all of a sudden he distanced himself and just stopped speaking to me . then after about three months of not speaking he called asking for a lend of some money so thinking i'd be nice i gave him it .but then he started ignorin me again .then all of asudden about three weeks after that started turning up at my work (i'm a barmaid ) and just sitting there all night but still not really speaking to me !!! then on sunday night he started texting me i was at a party with some other friends and he kept asking if i was really happy there and why didn't i go round his for a drink bla bla bla ! now i'm really confused by his behaviuor ! i had come to terms with thinking he didn't want to be friends anymore and now i am just finding him wierd ! what do you guy's think ?

yesterday i had an argument with a friend that concerned the working and middle class. She said that she came from a working class background but her family are finacially secure, with a semi mansion and both been educated privately. In short I said that she was middleclass and said that if I had a choice I would rather be working class, she then left the room and has not spoken to me since. I dont want to apologise as i feel i have done nothing wrong, so whats her problem?

A guy friend of mine has started haning out with me and my friends every weekend. Every Tuesday he gives me a ride to church, or we walk together. We have started eating together in the dining halls once in awhile and when our friends are there he sits next to me. We have text conversations and when we do talk on the phone its for 30 min or more. We are going on the same SB trip...We share alot of the same values and are becoming good friends. At dinner when I mentioned that I was going to the baseball game this weekend, he said "Give me a holler and I'll go with ya!" We went to the movies, and he left a seat between him and our other friend (I was to chicken to take it even though I was right behind him) he backed off for awhile but seems to be warming up again. He also said that on our SB trip he is going to have them sing Happy B-day at all the restaraunts(I'll be 20). He said it was a good thing that I would be with friends on my b-day and not alone like last year.
