I have moved to Redcar to be with my new bloke who i am havving a baby with and we are getting married. Things are fab but all my family and friends live 50 miles away. I have no one here that i can pop to for a chat, pop out shopping, cinema with which i am finding really hard.

How can i make new friends. I work at the minute 9-5 and have a 3 year old already. its hard to find time for anything?

Its tough when you have to move so far from all your close friends.
You could try going on websites like www.myspace.com and finding some people in your area.
Or an alternative, you could go down to visit your friends and family every other weekend, stay down there for a few days then come home.
Good luck making friends x

If you have a 3 year old, get it into a playgroup, and meet the other mums. Or, how about trying an evening class?

Do you meet people at work who are potential friends? At least with having a baby you will meet people at anti natal classes and the like.

Hiya, I suggest you join a club. Try enrolling to a yoga class or pilates in your local area, once you've had your baby. It's great fun and good way to meet new people.

Find new friends at work, walk 'round the neighbourhood. You can go on mIRC.com to find some new friends or try hi-5.com

well maybe on weekend, you can decide to bake some cookies and cake and share it with the neighbor, if she has been there for a while you might be introduced to more of her friends and you have made friends already.
