To love and be loved in return. That a smile can bring down barriers. To treat everyone as equals. To always ask for help if needed. That family is precious as is time. Don't waste it. To keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

Gee...that's a tough choice.... I learned so much.
Probably, that: "I could do anything I put my mind to." I heard that a lot and grew up believing it. It gave me a sense of security and inner confidence that no one experience ever could. It Opens innumerable doors for me and keeps me going in hard times. But there are many more things they taught me...thx.

For me its respect. My dad was very strict with us when we where younger, although today social services can get involved if you even tap your child we used to get a clip round the ear if we did anything wrong, but i love my dad for it because being scared of punishment stopped me getting into trouble when i was young and also the discipline taught me respect for my parents.

To tell people you love them, value them, respect them, etc....but only if you do. My parents died suddenly and I never really told them how much I loved them. That was a hard lesson to learn.
