She got infatuated with me. I met her only once. I was shocked to learn that she knows my number. She call me several times in my office. I told her that I am very busy. One time, she visited me in my office. She is pretty but I am turned off by her constant presence. What will I do?

I am a former law enforcement officer, I hope that I will be able to help you with your question...

If you have her name or any other pertinent information, please make a note of that and keep it handy. There are several things you can do to stop this harassment.

1. If you have her e-mail address, you can obtain her ISP address and then contact that internet provider and file a complaint.

2. If she is calling you at work, you should contact your supervisor and let him/her know what is going on. If you have her phone number, you can contact the Federal Communications Commission ( FCC ) and file a telecommunications complaint with them.

3. You can contact local law enforcement and give them the information that you have, and also the circumstances regarding the harassment, they will do the rest.

Hope this helps you. I think your problem will end if you do any or all of these suggestions.

Change your private phone numbers or get an answering maching to screen your calls. Tell her in no incertain terms that if she ever comes to your place of employment again, you will have to involve the police to put a stop to her stalking behaviour.

wow when I first read the title I was like... "Look for the little button that says BLOCK or IGNORE on it... then press it... dummy."

but this is serious. Tell her straight-out "I! Am! Not! Interested!" and tell her to lay off or you'll get a restraining order. =]]
