Friends - January 2007

This bestfriend (guy) of mine(whom I'm starting to like) got mad at me last year on December for not giving him his space. SInce then, we rarely talk but he did greeted me in my birthday (via phone) As classes resumed, we still rarely talk but I could see him looking at me in some instances. I tried my best to give him the space he wanted (even if it hurts). After a few weeks, he seems to be coming back to the way we used to be (talking, telling jokes, sharing experiences,.) but the difference is, we're not together anymore, instead he's with his guy friends and I'm with my girlfriends. Whenever he tells a joke w/ my friends, he always looks at me & laughs. One time, I heard him talking to one of the girls in class (but I pretend I didn't hear anything) saying that he had a "new" crush on someone...Odd since whenever he had a crush on someone, he always tells me about it(in fact, I know all the girls he like but not this one). Was he hiding something from me that I should know?

lately my best friend has been bieng a real backstabber and taking the guys i like, i dont know why, but she tells me things like, "its not my fault they like me". Shes did it 3 times now and its gotten to the point to where i dont even want to tell her who i like anymore. Even if i like him alot and she sees that he likes me too. The first time she took a guy, it was one i had been dating for a week or so. And it seems like she doesnt like a guy unless i do, i could be going out with him and she wouldnt care, she will still be with him!! Since the first one she snatched up, she took 2 more and she still wants me to be her friend and hang out WITH her when shes hanging out with my crush. I dont know what to do, i want to get revenge on her so bad...but i dont wanna get on her level...any suggestions? and why do you think shes doing this?

they meet this *** for a boyfriend, and then all of a sudden they no longer talk to me. well not as much at least. all i hear about is the bf, and it makes me sick. since they just met the guy and they claim that they are in love. they barely know them! and what's with this...guy: "you wanna be my girlfriend?" girl: "sure" Guy: "great, now we can kiss" *make out for ten hours*.....i suppose its sorta like a father-daughter type thing. only with more jealousy. why dont they like me! i'm their friend, they love me, what's wrong with me as a boyfriend? arggh....i hate relationships. please say something useful for me. much appreciated.

One of my friends & I have know each other since we were 9-yrs old; we are now 38. We are "cancer friends" – we know we can count on the other in a crisis or so I thought. She recently had a health scare. Ironically, I was the last of her friends to find out. These other friends are parents of her children’s friends; known for 3 yrs max. We both have friends outside of us, but I am shocked to learn accidentally about something so serious when people who have known her for a short time knew. We have always leaned on each other. Nothing has happened, etc. I do like her friends a lot; I’m glad they are buds, but I can not seem to get this hurt out of me. I feel like I lost status with someone who means a lot to me-I have felt tears in my eyes a number of times. I would never bring it up to her; I care for her & I don’t want to turn her scare into a “me” issue. I am though having a hard time coming to terms with losing my cancer friend. Can anyone let me know what you would do?

Ok i'm trying to help my friend j.d because he is going to a depressing stage because his 2 best friends died in a car crash and i said i believed in god and then i said do you believe in god and this is what he said and this is what i replied as- J.d-yes i do,but were was a god when my two best friends i ever had slowly died waiting for ambulance?were was god then/

o.k. this girl had wrote a fake suaside note saying he wanted to kill hiself but it wasn't true.so i comfronted her and she lied and said she didn't write it knowing she did.Then that next week she wrote another note saying my bestfriend was running around saying i was a,"h" and a,"b" saying i was doing stuff with my boyfriend.so i believed the girl like a stupid person.me and my bestfriend are still good i just dont know what to do about the girl because she doesnt know that i know about this.so now she wants to fight my bestfriend and my bestfriend is ready to fight but im forced to choose between the both of them... I've been friends with this woman for a long time.. since we were in grade school in fact. However, we are at very different points in our life right now. I'm married, considering having children, buying houses, that sort of thing... She's 25 and thinking about having sex for the first time with her boyfriend. She seems completely uninterested in my life, but expects me to be there for her. She was annoyed by my wedding (she had finals and was busy at the time), didn't say one nice thing about the house we bought, and is otherwise uninterested in my life. I'm tired of her. I set my friend up with someone my husband works with. She didn't want to meet this guy alone, so she begged me to go with her. My husband happened to be out of town that night, so it would just be the three of us. I called my husband and told him we were going out with his co-worker when my friend was there. She shouted into the phone, "we're going to have a threesome." My husband got a tid irritated by this. As we drove to the bar, she told me it was weird for my husband to get mad because he should trust me. He does trust, he just thought she was rude. I do, too. I was trying to do her a favor, after all.

There's this guy at my gym, he's actuaaly a trainer there, and my problem, is the fact that I don't know if he's flirting with me or not.For instance, around christmas, he came up to me and asked me how my holidays and I told him it was okay, then he asked me, who did I spend it with.And then there was another occasion where he came up to me and told me I looked sad, and wanted to see me smile, and as I was leaving asked me when will I be back.I'm thinking , well maybe he's just being friendly, but he's always telling me to text message him for trainer sessions, and i told him several times, I'm a broke college student, and I cannot afford them, but he's still asking me to told me to call him for this free session, so I asked him why was he offering me the free session, and he said because he does it for people he connect with so anyhow, I finally showed up for the damn session but I was late, so he's like when can you come in and I told him next friday and he's like why so
