So you HAVE a really good friend and you really want to keep that good friend so you should not be eyeing up her ex for any reason other then loosing your good friend.
If you start dating this ex of your good friend then you might as well say good-bye to your really good friend because that's the next step you will for sure have to take.
Is loosing a really good friend worth this?
I think not!
Really good friends are not easy to come by these days and if you are a really good friend to your good friend then get the ex boyfriend of you good friend out of your mind before you loose something worth more, okay.

well you dont have to ask this question you should know the answer already. if your a true friend u shouldn't go after ur friend's ex i mean shoot i would be mad if my bestfriend tried to hook up with my ex after we just broke up... that is just not right. don't do it. u'll hurt ur bestfriend just stay away from. u'll only make things worst. i've been through that situation coz i like this one guy and i've been telling my friend about him and she was flirtin with him when we all hang out together. and i hated her so much.

Give it a good thought before going for him - is she likely to be offended? Maybe she will think that you were the reason for the break-up and she will never forgive you, although you have no blame for that. Evaluate your friendship and if it is really worhty, it is no use to spoil it.

Give it some time before you go after the guy. Both he and his ex=gf will need time to adjust. And it will give her time to find another guy,so if you do get together with the guy, maybe she won't feel so bad.

You never date a friend's ex. Never ever. You can't help having feelings for him, true, but you can refuse to act on those feelings.

You must not think to highly of your good friend then. He should be off limits to you unless you intend to hurt and lose your friend.
