Friends - December 2006

Everyone hates my bestfriend exept me. Should I still be her friend. She has done a lot of mean things to everyone, And they all say i am next. If I dont want to be friends with her any more how should I tell her.

my friend seems really sad and is acting strangly lately. ive tried to talk to her but she insists shes fine. but then the other day i heard her crying in the bathroom at school. she didnt know i heard her, but i told her i did. she brushed me off and now she wont talk to me. shes my best friend in the world. we have been since 1st grade. we've always told each other everything. does anyone know what i should do??

My childhood was terror. I survived by going along with the disenfranchisement of my identity. It caused the inherited rheumatoid factor to become rheumatoid arthritis. I finally dumped the parasite biologigal preditors, but my heart feels crucified and I grieve constantly. I've had intermittent success by "acting" joyful and having joy actually prevail, but long flareups of my body systems, no true friends, no support except for my husband (who is overwhelmed yet sincere in making up the difference for the RA as best he can)--but the brokenness gets worse the older I get. I know there are people who suffer much worse. They must be lonely for authentic friendship too. Past friendships: I was their friend, but they were unable to be mine, and they all were desturbed when my psychic abilities proved actual--insecurity made them "superior." I know my "true" family members live somewhere. Only in retrospect, when too late, do they feel mercy for you. The world is a shadow for sleepwalkers.

Okay when I grow up I wanna be an egyptoligist............like studying ancient tombs and mummies, pyramids etc........

All my freinds wanna be like, models, and teachers, and like, vets and stuff but I don't and they make fun of me..
Any advice.......................they think I am a weirdo................but I think they are just wasting there lives.....

hey! ok so i am in 7th grade now and i go to a diff. school then last year (junior high) well last year, my good friend and i were really close but now we go to differnet schools and we only chat over email. whenever she emails me she asks me "what's new?" and i tell her... well last week i told her that i have a new boyfriend. she replied by saying... "hey. so a boyfriend? hm thats great................" like she didn't care and now whenever she talks about him she refers to him as "boyfriend" like i he's not real or something.. it really hurts my feelings cause you would think that a friend would be happy for you but she seems to be jealous or annoyed... i've told her that she doesn't need to call him "boyfriend" and that she could be nicer about it but it hasn't seemed to help... any advice? thanks, and happy holidays!

I have met this lady through school and she does not have much money and she told me no money for gifts for the children. I dont know her overaly well but I would like to give her children some things. I buy specials all through the year and have a stockpile of toys in my loft that I use for presents and birthdays for all the children who invite my children to their parties. The problem is I dont want to embarrass her. What should I do?

I live in an apartment, my best friend lives in a 3 bedroom/3 bath house. He received a Christmas card/newsletter from a mutual acquaintance (Well, actually from someone who claims to be my families best friend in the world! ) We didn't. I tell him it is because he is her "equal". She is snobbish, but she also lives in a home they are buying complete with an HOA, same as him. She wanted to "sponsor" us for Christmas to teach her children it is better to give than receive. We politely asked her to sponsor another family at church, because we were doing okay this year. I believe we are percieved as poorer, lower class because we live in an apartment, not in a house we are buying with a Home Owners Association to tell us every move to make. What do you think?

I have these three friends 1,2,3. 1 and 3 have always been there for me. 2 is just there to comment on 1's life and tell her how lucky she is after she tells us something. Then when i start talking, she ignores me and says "(name) can i have your life?" (1) then i get mad and no one but 3 talks to me. When i get mad at 1 or 2 they don't ask me why am i mad, and when i am mad, 2 says sorry but i know she doesn't mean it by how she talks to me and how she ignores me. But when i'm mad at 1 she doesn't ask why either but she when she says sorry to me, it feels so different. But i never get mad at 3 because she is the one that sticks with me and always has my back. I always wanted to have a friend like that, but sometimes she ditches me and runs around when she is hiper. But i know she is going to come back. Also 2 doesn't like 3 and says that we should ditch her. I don't know what to do, Get new friends? Stay with all three of them? Stay with one of them? Help please!

This co-worker has lied to me about so many things that I can't count them. I have caught her in lies though I haven't confronted her with them because I haven't had the chance yet and I don't know how to approach it. She also complains about everything, from her not getting enough hour at work (but refusing to open up her availability), the customers, the other employees, her step-kids and family life, and just about everything else.

Some of the lies that I have caught her in: She claims that she had a kidney transplant 6 years ago, but another time when she was listing off medicines that she took she only said an anti-depressant and a pain pill.

She always says that she's got another job paying 3x as much money with the same hours and type of work and that she's waiting for the right time to quit this job. It's been two months that she's been saying this. When I last asked her about it she said that she decided not to work there because of the hours.

ANY ADVICE???

Im thinking of asking a girl to come to the movies with me today and maybe if things go well i will ask her out. Should I? We've known each other for like 3 months now and talk daily online and say hi to each other in the halls. Im not much of a conversationist and i really want to avoid awkward silences. I have a problem because I've been told by everyone around me that my "standards" are too high. I think this is somewhat true in my relationships, with people I associate with I've always held certain people to certain standards. As of late i'm finding myself more and more frustrated and dissapointed in people around me. I can't help it that I've always had high standards for myself and others around me. Is it wrong? Should I lower my standards? I don't feel that I should have to. My standards I think are not too hgh, I mostly just want what i think is best for people. Apparently they don't agree. As of right now since i have a hard time hiding my dissapproval most of my relationships with peope are pretty strained. I have no idea what I could do to some how compromise with peolpe. I know people are human and they make mistakes but that doesn't mean you have to be stupid about it. ::sigh:: I don't know what to do if anyone has any suggestions I am more than welcome to hearing them.

Well i like this guy a lot, and he is going to ask me out after christmas holidasy ( so ive heard) If he does, what should I say? the reson im asking is because my best friend likes him a lot also. I have a friend who migrated to canada. While she was still here, she called me a flirt for giving my number to my guy best friend. She told people I was boring. In front of me. She's a hypocrite. In fact, she's one of the meanest people I've met. We keep in touch through YM. One day our clique decided to prank her by pretending I hooked up with her ex (not boyfriend. used to be MU. guy she liked who liked her. ). She cried. So I felt sorry and apologized. But then, we decided to be honest and told her everything we thought about her. From how mean to how vain she was. She didn't care. It showed that she cared more about some guy than us, her friends who threw her a super awesome goodbye party (which she WHINED about when after thinking we were not gonna throw her one ) She's coming back. She knows we're mad but not exactly why. Should I stay mad and not talk to her or pretend like I care about her. I mean, her stay's for only a few weeks.
