Im thinking of asking a girl to come to the movies with me today and maybe if things go well i will ask her out. Should I? We've known each other for like 3 months now and talk daily online and say hi to each other in the halls. Im not much of a conversationist and i really want to avoid awkward silences. What are some good conversation starters? Im still in highschool so nothing too formal.

Loosen up a bit first. Women love to talk. All you have to do is listen and make a few utterances like: 'are you sure you want to do that?' See, that's not judgemental but shows you were listening.

Silences can be comfortable... but when a woman asks you something. At first say, I can't talk about that. That will peak her interest and then when she claims you can trust her to be compassionate... then you tell just a silly story. maybe even a childish one. brings out the mother to be in her.

Then always be generous to every story she tells and compassionate. One reason women perfer gay friends is that they do not hit on them. They will flirt but it is safe flirting and the gay men usually love to listen and talk. They become friends because she can tell him anything and feel safe.

She will not feel safe if you say...how many were there before me? Have you ever been in love before? these are comparititve and no answer will satisfy you. This is about causing her to feel safe... not you.

Let her fill the silences and reward her for everything she says and thinks except for nastiness of course. Those I would destract her and change the subject like: Want some popcorn? I think I want a popcorn break and search everywhere till you find it. good luck

Okay your both have been talking for 3 months and talk daily online. Its a great idea to ask her to the movies. I bet she will say yes. Just make small talk. Is she wearing a new shirt or jewerly? Make a comment about it. Or talk about the hoildays, funny memeories that u dont mind sharing. After the movies take her to like Subway a decent fastfood place. but dont tell her till after the movie, just causlly metion going out to eat, she will more then likely say yes.

Sure ask her out. Talk about school, sports, the computer conversations you have with her and things like that. Keep the topics light and mutually interesting. Let her talk too. Once the ice is broken i think you'll fair well.

this guy (a hot senior no less) used this really cheesy pick-up line. he was just like "what's u'r last name? it's bailey right?" so of course i told him that yes, it was bailey. he then just asked me if i wanted to "hang out" some time (it made it seem more informal...i liked it! i didn't feel all this pressure to "go on a date"). he then just gave me his # so i had control of the situation. it worked really well. informal but very direct and to the point. we talked abut music, fav. colors and #'s, r families, and even how stupid r friends are. make sure u guys have stuff in common before u ask her out...it'll make things a lot less awkward!!!
