Friends - December 2006

My best friend knows her dad is an alcoholic. He should be retiring soon but he has drank his money away. On the outiside, he looks like a millionaire. He has it all, the house, the car, everything top-of-the-line and elegant. But, you get into the heart of the family and these are the cold hard facts: He is bankrupt, he has alcohol-induced diabetes, he gets either ridiculously emotional or really really mean when he is drunk...... and sometimes he drives himself home from the bar. He drives a company vehicle. I have asked her what she would do if someone called the cops on him one day. She knew what I meant; she knew I was asking her what would happen if I called the cops on him. And she looked me in the eye and said there is nothing more important than family and if anyone, even a friend, did that, which would result in his losing his job because he is using a company car and would ruin his reputation, she would never ever forgive the person who turned him in. HELP!

In the last few months I've been falling for this guy in my same class. We laugh together during the lessons and and whatever he says makes me laugh(which doesn't happen that easily.) The fact is that he speaks to me during our lessons and when he sees me outside the lessons he just smiles and continues talking to his friends.and a few days ago he said that he doesn't want any serious relationships and..another thing is that my other friend keeps flirting with him and he seems to like it altough he doesn't flirt back...what the hell should I do??

okay heres the story im real cool with my brothers and i go everywhere with them, but on friday they told me they were going to the movies to meet some girls, so i was like okay i wont go then. but they really picked up my friend and went to the movies. they left me haging. also at the movies my brother kissed my friend. no one told me about this. and i would expect my friend to tell me but she didn't. and the bad thing is i was at her house on sunday and she act like nothing happened. what should i do, is she a true friend. should i be mad at my brothers and her for not telling me they went to the movies, knowing that i always hang with them?

have you ever thought that you were just a replacement, and that people just listen to you when noone else is around? or when you try to talk to someone you just hesitate cause you think that noone will want to talk to you. or that you will just be respected but not for long. I tryed to talk to someone and then this guy was like smiling, and then she just starting to talk to soeone esle, and then you feel like you are egnored. or when you are in a class, and then peop;le,are around you, but then someone comes to you and would be like " oh, you are in this class" and you feel un recognizable.

my best friend say shell always be my best friend and just resently like november she got a boyfriend and he is always with her. but then this girl started likeing her boyfriend and she started hanging out with her like everyday. this girl has done it to me twice and she ruined my that best friend me and the girl say that were still best friends but the girl always was trying to mess my friendships up well thats what i think. but anyways then the girl started like my best friends best friend[if that make sense] and now they go out and just recently i looked on my best friends and that girls profile and it says best friends. i confronted my friend and she said we will always be best friends dont worry about it and hers says best friends and mine says best friends forever[pictures on her profile]

My best friend is 22 years old and she is dating this "granddaddy" that is 44 years old and she seems to be happy. I think it's going a little to far when she WANTS to have his child. I tell her she needs to think about her future and if this is the right man she wants to be with. She says she is not looking to the future she is looking at whats going on presently. My friend mentioned that sometimes she needs to read something inspirational like a quote to help her with anger, sadness, confusion etc and anything to do with dealing with life in general. She suggested she might make some little post its to stick around that would catch her eye and make her think throughout the day. So I thought it would be nice to make her some cards on my PC with quotes for her Christmas present since money is a little tight this year. I already made quite a few with quotes off the net but I thought that it might help to ask on here what everyones favorite quotes are. I have to face this girl tomorrow. We've been "friends" for a year, but I never know what to expect from her. Sometimes she's friendly, other times she acts really uncomfortable (blushing, stuttering, etc.) or she ignores me. Sometimes she emails me long, open letters. Other times, she takes days to respond. She recently asked for help on a project. I volunteered help and have not heard from her. Like I said, I have to face her tomorrow. If she ignores my email, what should I do? Should I bother talking to her? I have before and it's just resulted in more confusion, but maybe it's worth the effort? Or do you think I should just ignore her because she's really jerking me around? I'm not sure what the best response to this kind of behavior is.

I've seen a really beautiful clock in a gallery while i was Xmas shopping. It's by a local artist and is one of a kind.

Ok, i have 2 friends, lets say carlos and charla (not my friends names). We were iming eachother. I asked carlos about questions about Charla, like whats her fav color. Carlos knew everything!!! Im mean everthing!!!! Like for example i asked charls, whats my fav t.v. show and she says the oc. I HATE THE OC, but she says it was just a random guess, very random. me and my friend, (we'll call her barbera) have been friends for a long time. but throughout our hole friendship she has not been the nicest person ever. she will tell me things people said about me and it makes me feel really bad about myself, but i later find out she made it all up just to make me feel bad. It also sucks because she is friends with my other friends and i constantly trying to turn them against me. i dont want to talk to her cause she will twist it and make other people mad at me. I met a really nice guy about 4 weeks ago. He's very sweet, and probably the nicest guy I had ever met. There is NOTHING between us, nor will there ever be. We are JUST FRIENDS. Let's call him "Bob". Well, yesterday, as I was talking to Bob, my older brother (in Bob's grade) was in the room. I happily pointed out to Bob, "Hey! You know that's my brother?" Bob couldn't believe it. "He's what?? Are you serious"--then he looks like he's about to say something then says, "No! I won't say anything." I was a bit confused.
The next day I pleasantly ask Bob why he couldn't believe my brother WAS my brother. He didn't want to tell me why at first. So I ask him: "Is it 'cause we don't look alike?" "Is he quiet?" "Are we way different?" "Do you know him?"
I ask again, "Is he quiet?"
Finally, Bob says, "No! He's loud and-- and annoying!"
I am too shocked to reply. "Oh, really?" I chuckle and dive into the Girl's bathroom. Later that day, I even said Hi to Bob and he said hi back, as always.
