that sounds like a wonderful present. Go for it. Its so much more thoughtful and original than a load of pots and pans or a gift card. It will be something she can keep and is a lovely and special personal gift.

If you have known this female friend for a while and you know that this is something that she might enjoy and she has space to have it in her home then I think that she would appreciate it. But my personal opinion is that unless she has a large room for the clock than I think that this would be a bit extravagant. If you are looking to purchase a piece of furniture I would go with an antique looking trunk or a small bookshelf or an end table. Hope this helps.

A clock is not a bad idea, however, Yankee Candles make some great Housewarming baskets, put it in a Christmas bag and you have the 2 combined. Afraid of what fragrance, most woman love the smell of vanilla (simple fragrance) You can go to www.yankeecandle.com to take a peek at what they have. You can never go wrong with candles. Hope this helps and Merry Christmas!

Sounds great, the only thing would be that she would not be able to return it - although people can never really have too many clocks. You know her better than I do, you saw the clock and thought about her, makes sense to me.

Oh yeah I would love that, it's really thoughtful, better than a bottle of bubbly! It will go up in value because it's one of a kind too. I think she would love that, go for it. How many other people are going to get her something like that. I wish I had a friend like you! lol

difficult to say... depends on the clock and how old she is, and how many she already owns... how about a fruit juicer? can get em for £10 in tesco's in the moment in chrome, very nice!! ive just recently moved, i got a toastie machine, 2 plants, pair of bedside lamps, a digi box, and a hair dryer...my fave was probably the lamps they were plain, but modern, and i was going for the minimalistic look so i was happy :)

Bed Linen, or Kitchen sets with pots and pans are good. I would love fluffy comforters in her favorite color. Floor lamps are good too. If you know her well, think of what she needs the most. Or a giftcard to Ikea would be good!

wow..thats a really hard question..if i was receiving the gift and it was a clock, i would gladly accept it and put it on my wall...maybe what you could do is go to the Yankee Candle Shop and buy her some really good scented candles...they have the best and longest lasting scented candles..that way everytime she lights them, she'll think of you.
