I always sit back with a dictionary and grammar books and hone my skills. Perhaps you should try that.

If they are still around and its not by death, you can always remain friends and stay in contact. You will need to work at it but it can be done via the internet, letters, phone, etc. It is a personal choice. By death, there is not much you can do but recall the happy memories you had with that person and know that they are in a better place.

I believe in fate. Can one make his own fate or destiny. Sure, you can have a hand in it. I think though under these circumstances it's better to allow the person to grow and adapt to her new surroundings without impeding on that. Does that make any sense. I hope so. Refocus on other things until she calls you or writes you. That's when I would reach out to her. Just be there for her when she needs you. Your friendship and trust SHOULD grow stronger
If you love one another you will find a way to be together in the end. In the meantime divide your attentions to what's important in making you a more complete individual without her by your side.

I know it sounds cliche, but I try to remember all the wonderful things about that relationship/person and remind myself to have gratitude for the time I did have with them. I lost my mom this year and it has been a struggle , yes, but I have learned alot about gratitude and truely appreciating all the people I still have in my life.

Go on living for the future. Keep in touch by phone or e-mail.,and remember that even though the two of you are seperated, you have a whole lifetime ahead of you. Good luck and have a merry Christmas.

Well if your not too far away from the town they live in, then you can go see them every so often. But, you will also need to try and get new friends. You never know you could meet someone nice.
