Everything starts with us, if we cared as much about ourselves as we did about others would we really need others approvals and attention and love as much ?

Diagnosed 2 years ago and badly needed support, one 'friend' decided not to ring me or speak to me after I was diagnosed. Why do you think this can be? How can someone be so heartless?

It has become apparent to me that alcohol is the basis for a great deal of social interactions and friendships. So much so, that meeting the requirements of a happy and outgoing social life requires the need to drink. Would you have the social life you have now if you didn't drink? Do you have friendly relationships with people where you maintain that relationship without drinking? If so, how do you maintain such a relationship?

i have this very close friend. we shared a lot of memories, jammings and everything. I consider her my best friend. It really goes like this.......
we're 5 friends(we call ourselves "5 star friends").Friend no.1 thinks that.... I have no care for her, I just cared for the group but not her. Friend no.2 gives me advises.Actually FN2(friend no.2) is the one who told me about the feelings of FN1(friend no.1).FN1 wanted to end our frienship, but I don't want her to let go...I mean we shared a lot of moments and that's what she wants to do, just QUIT!!!It's not a easy thing to do.... I wanted to settle this down ...talk to her personally...but she walks away from me...she hates me....She never even look at me...Or even go near me....She avoids me....so how can I say sorry to her...It's a good thing 2 know that FR2 helps me but I should be the one who would settle this......I wanted it to settle the way I wanted it to be.....We're going to be friends again....

I have known for a while now that my friends dad is a 'Freemason' and the member of a Masonic Lodge somewhere. He cant talk about what he does or who else is a member, he cant even tell his family! Personally ive always found him a bit creepy, he is hardly ever at home and hes always going to these 'meetings' with other freemasons. I want to try and find out more about the freemasons because it all sounds a bit dodgy to me like a big cover up for something. Does anyone know where I could get any info on these people?

I have two sets of friend (Both sets are husband and wife) who I have introduced to each other, one set is actually God Parents to my child - this set unfortunatly we had a big bust up with, but we are trying to patch things up.

My wifes sister is getting married abroad and they are all invited. They have been phoning each other to arrange to travel together and they have not been in contact with me or my wife! Also to the point they have been phoning my wifes sister to let her know of their movements!!

Clearly I am dissapointed and angry and feel my name is mud along with my wifes (they must be talking about the "bust up") - Its really sad and I feel it is shallow - I introduced them for heavens sake!

How should I react - whats my next move!
