Depends on that friend!

Well that depends on how they perceived it. If you say it to all your friends of the opposite sex fairly often , then no one will think anything about it.

If it came out sort of suddenly then it may come across as a Fruedian slip kind of thing and the " person" may think you have feelings for them. Give it a week or two and see if they act differently towards you or if they ask what you meant.

Good luck

No I don't think so. If you think that it will or might just say something like, you know that you are a really good friend and I love you for that

ever tell your parents you love them, Why would you say " love" to a friend? Why cant you tell the person why you feel good about them. If I was the a person who felt someone had treated me exceptionally well, I would just tell them how great they where and how they made things pleasant and make your day.

I have a guy friend who hears "You know, I love and adore you" at least once or twice a year from me. I think it freaked him out the first time or two, but when he realized it wasn't meant "romantically", he was fine.

If by friend you mean just a platonic relationship then it just shows what close pals you are- you are lucky to have each other.
