Sounds like your friend is out of order. If he was interested in her as a friend, or for a relationship then maybe ok, but still a little wierd but if he's just after her for sex then that's not on, she's only just an adult and still vunerable. Have a word with the creep. Good on you for caring

oh dear this must be hard for you.. i would see how your step daughter reacts to your friends attraction and make your judgement on that - if he creeps her out then make him stop, if not then perhaps leave it for a while but just make sure he doesnt do anything weird or wrong. 18 is still a young age and youre easily influenced. does she have a mum? could you talk to her about it? that would be a good thing to do. its really hard as a step parent though, cos its easy to do something that could make her feel that you were invading her life and its her decision. also id say that if your friend is a good guy (which seems a bit questionable seeing as he is attracted to your step daughter and doesnt seem to have spoken to you about it) then you have less to worry about. good luck with it

How old is your friend? is there much of an age gap between you and your step daughter?
Parents are naturally protective and the question really is do you not want your step daughter to have a realtionphip with your friend?
I would talk to your friend and expalin that you are uncomfortable with him behaving with your step daughter in that way, and that you feel it is inappropriot.

I would tell your friend to find someone their own age and to leave your step-daughter alone, though i suppose that depends on how old your friend is!
As long as your step daughter has no interest in your friend, tell him to leave her alone, it would get very confusing for all concerned if anything did happen between them.

What orientaion is your friend Lesbian Straight Male or what ever.
It is best you stop the thing occuring if you dont feel right about it .So have a good chat to your friend and stress how a former friend who tried it on with your daughter finished up friendless.

mmmhh what type of a friend is he if he cant control his feeling for your step- daughter? in this case i think you chose what you value most your step-daughter or friendship. if your daughter comes first then talk to him and warn him that any further signs of his interest or even an attempt will cost your relationship. Talk to your daughter to stay away from him,

if he was a true friend, he would leave her alone. just because she is a step daughter doesn't make it ok. and because she is so young she really isn't mature enough to tell if his feelings are true or not and could really get hurt if he is just looking for a fling.

Depens how old your friend is. If he's her age, let her make her own decision. If he's older, I doubt she'll go for it anyway - she'll just think he's a dirty old perve! Give her the space to make her own mind up.
If it really concerns you, have a word with your friend.
