Just be careful...the 2 of you will have to learn to separate your friendship from your professional relationship. As long as you can separate the 2 relationships everything should be fine. Just remember that even though you are friends, there are still things at work that you may disagree on, etc and you don;t want that to come between your friendship.

Why not? First u both are colleagues then you become friends...and that's how friendship starts off ain't it? Another good thing that might happen if ur both the opposite sex n single is, u might become lovers...who knows?!
But i think u got another meaning to ur question, so cld u explain or even re-phrase ur question again?

Yes it is very good to make your life partner , as you both know each others liking / disliking .
