I'm in my last semester of school and find myself alone at school, always. Its funny, because i'm very popular, but i just cannot relate to any of those kids. I am kind to everyone and know pretty much every single person at the school. Its just when i go to lunch or something, there is no one group where I fit in. All my life i have been the one to approach others and be left the outsider listening in. That's mostly why I decided to graduate a year early. I moved here my freshman year from the other side of the country, played football for the school, but just have not made a single real friend, just 2,000 kids who say hi to me in the halls and occasionally invite me to parties. I am always alone, and i have more than gone out of my way for others. They all know who I am, but none of them know me, or care to. Am I really alone in this?

Says is like family, talks on phone if have problems, but if busy and I say I am sick, feel like I am going to faint, or I am worried abt something, etc., person will call/email whenever he feels like it. Says I "always have problems." Darn right I do--I have hypoglycemia which is dangerous when one is feeling bad. I also get extremely upset at times which is not good for my heart; it starts racing very very fast.

I feel a true friend will not say "you always have problems" or seem to think in the back of their mind that I am ok and just ignore me and talk to me some time later, even the next day. Prime example, I said I am sweaty, feel sick. Person does not call, e-mails next day. Was busy w/ family? Ok, still can call. Family knows me & knows situation. Doesn't care if I am ok or assumes I am?? Cannot spare 5 minutes? This is no friend in my opinion. Should I ditch this fair weather friend? If so, how?

it seems like they're the one's going out and not him and me. i know this jealousy seems really wrong. i simply can't help but feel like there's something going on between them. they've only met each other twice and it seems like she knows more about him than i do. is it my fault that im not talking to him enough and asking him questions? im just afraid of being the annoying girlfriend.

Ok, I have had a huge crush on this guy for about a year and a half. I know he likes my friend, but she doesn't like him so I know he will get over her sooner or later. What should I do from here? Should I try and talk to him more and eventually tell him I like him? And how do you tell a guy you like him? If I give little hints will he catch on?

I have two real best friends of mine, Kelsey and Alex, But recently it's become just Alex who's my best friend. A new girl came to town about four months ago, And basically she's become Kelsey's new best friend and I've been replaced. They do everything with each other everyday, And I can't even do anything with Kelsey since she's always busy with this other girl. She rarely visits me and our other friends at lunch anymore, And if she does then the other girl and more girls come and take her away. She's replaced all our pictures of us with ones of her and the other girl. I can't really confront her on it since I have a feeling she'll use my 'Being best friends with Alex' against me. I know she can have other friends, But that doesn't mean you isolate your other ones! What should I do? Thanks for the help<3

my best friend (dani) used to be friends with a guy named Tom; they were never romantically engaged they just did alot of stuff together and were good friends. at one point in time i was friends with tom too, we are both musicians and would jam every now and then. over a period of time tom developed attitude problems ( i think it may be due to drugs). dani was still hanging out with him up until a month or so ago. i know how he acts and could never see how dani could hangout with him...so i just asked her. she said because she had to be friends with tom. why? because tom knows somthing about her.. she wouldnt tell me what, just that i dont need to know. she is usually very open but wont budge on this. she said it has somehting to do with hanging out with him alot at her house in hschool (before he changed into a not so nice person). i have no idea what this could be and thats all she told me, any ideas? dani and i went to hs together and we go to college in nyc

I worried about her after thinking to check to see if she has a 360 account on yahoo. There it was, her last entry about having to go for surgery quite a while back. No activity since then and a bunch of pictures of her friends and names she thought to add ... but no me ... well, I hadn't thought to check out what a 360 account was when turning down invitations to join with no thought that some friends were moving on with or without me and I can't even think to duck now the sh*t hits the fan as I find myself lost in the thought: What kind of lame excuse is that for losing contact with someone I obviously cared enough for to miss now that she's altogether gone? Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got til it's gone? They paved paradise and put up a parking lot .... Anyone else like that song and need a friend right now?

I can't think of anything to get my friend's parents for christmas. Known them a long time and have done things with them, trips etc. They are huge elvis fans but are very particular so i cant get anything like that. However was thinking maybe elvis pajamas but can't find anything...their house right now is a mess, doing some remodeling inside so i really dont want to get them something that would just be pushed aside and forgotten about. i dont like gift cards but if i have to i will. i was thinking like a home depot one but gift cards seem so impersonal and lack of thought and i read on yahoo they can be a waste of money. i wanted to get them sirius for the car but not sure what would be a good idea. i know her mother has mentioned that she liked it with the elvis station but i just keep thinking that it wouldnt get used. wanted to get the tivoli but if they dont like it they'll be stuck with paying for it or something. but again the house is a mess. any ideas??

My best friend has recently been caught smoking and dealing pot. He got kicked out of school and now he is going to some sort reform school until the School Board decideds wether he should be expelled or not. He was allways getting drunk and high, acting like a moron. Saying things i know he would not normally say. I havent talked to him for 2 months. I feel bad for him because sometimes i see him, alone, sitting on some bench. Or skating down the road. I feel like im responsible for this in some way. I've never been in love with anyone. Simply because I haven't.
But now I have a good friend, recent friend, and now we're both single. For a long time he has had this way of staring at me... Well, he smiles at me in a different way, and I don't get butterflies in my stomach or anything, but I like it when he looks at me like that.

He's more serious around me, but he does make me laugh, and he knows exactly how to do it. I have a weird, twisted sense of humor, and he tickles me just right. We have so many things in common.

I've also completely disturbed myself on how I've noticed weird things he does. I've never done that with anyone. Silly things, like the way his lips lift more on the right side when he finds something really funny. And other things...

Now, I know what infatuation feels like, but I've never felt this. And I don't have a crush on him, since I don't get tongue-tied around him.

What the hell is wrong with me???

I hav a friend who I hav been friends w/ since the begining of the school year. He is really nice and all, but he offered me chew twice, smokes once and it is starting to get me worried. He used a lot of reasons that I should be doing it ALREADY like, "You listen to all this hard rock and metal and punk and alt. rock, why don't you smoke?" [The music I listen to isn't that bad (Good Charlotte, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Skillet, Kutless ect.)] I told him to leave me alone, threatened to tell that he was trying to do this (My other friend had already told the principal but he dosn't hav the best record because of dumb stuff like sleeping in class ect.) I like him as a friend and I want to help, but I don't know how much more I can take, I will NEVER chew or smoke and I've told him that but he dosn't buy it. HELLLLLP!!!
