Friends - October 2006

My friend moved to a different state a year ago. Before she left she backstabbed me by lying, stealing etc. She left & after 4months i forgave her. A few months ago she visited for another friends birthday. My boyfriend, me, her and others went out together. After she left i was looking through my boyfriends phone and found a text from her saying she likes him and telling him she hopes it means something to him, even though she knew we were going out. I ignored it because she was in another state and i know that he loves me. She is also coming back in October for a concert and she arranged to stay at my boyfriends house without her or him telling me. and i discussd it with him and he said hed tell her he cant have her there. The worst thing is shes told me that shes moving back here and shes going back to our school and i know she will try and get close to my boyfriend. I cant trust her but my boyfriend doesnt see who she really is. how do i deal with this without the worst outcome?

Ok, so I have this friend. She is a bit tomboyish and somewhat nerdy that has this fierce temper. Like, everyday at lunch, there is this obnoxious boy, and he bullies/teases her, like calling her "married to a hooker" and harsh stuff like that.

Then, when she reaches to the point, she can't stand it, she would yell (and she really YELLS) or cusses, throws his food at him, throw her food at him, or cause a racket, etc.

I keep on telling her, that boy is all bark and no bite. I tell her to ignore them. I tell her it's a waste of time.

But she just goes and doesn't listen to me. It's really embaressing to me, my friends, and sometimes leads to trouble. Sometimes, I wish I could just yell at her and say that she's acting like a child. Is there a possible way I could tell her to stop in strong words, since she doesn't listen to what I say.

we fight all the time and lately i it seems like im happiest when shes upset. she broke up with her boyfriend and i couldnt stop smiling.... is there something wrong with me?

I am really shy. I cannot say anything to people. Any advice on how to overcome this? Thank goodness I do not know the definition of beauty at all. I am in the 2nd year of college. He borrows like 10 movies at a time but will keep then for like a year before he brings them back, and when he does the cases on the vhs's are either gone or really sticky like he spilled something on them and the dvds are all scratched up. I would say for every 10 movies he borrows I may get 2-3 back. Now he is wanting to borrow more, how can I tell him no without hurting his feelings, cause he is a nice guy?

I was friends with someone until I discovered that she thought the US moon landing was a hoax. She refused to do any research that would contradict her belief and said I was a victim of a government conspiracy. I found that I couldn't respect her anymore because she was wilfully ignorant.

I respect all nature of relgious belief in my friends. But this example has to do with science, and not belief. I've never had any problems with friends because of their race or sexual orientation. But willful ignorance--ignoring all observable and credible evidence while proudly holding onto lies--was a relationship ender.

Has anyone else ever been in a similar, non-religious situation? Was I cruel or silly to act this way? What do you think?

I like this guy a lot and for 6 months, I've been crushing on him. When I was in 7th grader, that is where I met him, at school. Now I'm in 8th grade and he's in 9th grade and we still go to the same school. My problem is, I just can't talk to him! Here are my questions:

1. What are signs that he might like me?
2. How can I talk to him? I just can't get the nerve to say Hi in the hallways even though it's that easy...

I made a new friend recently, she's hilarious , great person. but. She likes to climb on me and wants me to sit on her hand when we watch tv. I guess it warms her hand. this is OK with me, I don't really mind if she wants to be touchy-feely.

but since I'm not into girls, do I have a responsability to tell her not to do this? for her own sake I guess?

like: I have no prob teling her, if it comes up "I am never doing any sex with you" but should she stop touching me totally even if I don't care.?

I feel like there is no one pretty anymore. Back when I was 13 years old, I used to think at least 5 girls are cute in my years in high school. Like in freshman, there were 3 cute girls. Sophomore, there were 4 cute girls, junior, 3 cute girls, senior, 3 cute girls. Now that I went off to college and in my 3rd year, I see no one as pretty anymore. What is your definition of beauty? I never had a girlfriend before. All I know is that all girls is composed of the same elements as guys do (carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and minutes parts of other elements). All girls have the same look, long hair, short hair, a pair of eyes, eyebrows, a pair of cocounts attrached to their chest, everything's the same.
