Ok, so I have this friend. She is a bit tomboyish and somewhat nerdy that has this fierce temper. Like, everyday at lunch, there is this obnoxious boy, and he bullies/teases her, like calling her "married to a hooker" and harsh stuff like that.

Then, when she reaches to the point, she can't stand it, she would yell (and she really YELLS) or cusses, throws his food at him, throw her food at him, or cause a racket, etc.

I keep on telling her, that boy is all bark and no bite. I tell her to ignore them. I tell her it's a waste of time.

But she just goes and doesn't listen to me. It's really embaressing to me, my friends, and sometimes leads to trouble. Sometimes, I wish I could just yell at her and say that she's acting like a child. Is there a possible way I could tell her to stop in strong words, since she doesn't listen to what I say.

Oh, and I would always tell the boy to knock it off, but like he cares...

Why should she be expected to just take it from this boy.
Sure he's doing it to her just to get the extreme reaction, & she gives him a pay off big time, but he's the bully here.
Bullying needs to be reported. I agree that your friend would be better off if she could better control her temper, but I wouldn't blame her if she one day beat the cr*p out of this little boy who bothers her.

Instead of being embarassed by your friends reaction to being bullied, harassed & verbally abused by this little weasel, why don't you back her up right in front of him? Have you & your friends turn on him & yell at him right along with your poor abused friend. He's a coward & will back off for good. And if I am wrong & he doesn't stop immediately, then report him to the nearest parent or teacher. He's a bully & deserves to be treated like one.

tell her that the boy is just bulling her to get a reaction out of her and if she can keep her cool, he will eventually give up. Do you ever tell the boy to knock it off? Maybe tell a teacher or someone else that he is picking on her and they can put a stop to it. Be honest with the friend and tell her that her anger and outbursts are embarassing you and your friends and you dont want to have lunch with her if she cant control her temper. Good luck to you all

Try talking to her privately when she's not upset. Tell her this boy is just baiting her and she's giving him what he wants. You might also tell her that she risks losing her friends because of her tantrums. Try sitting somewhere else to have lunch to keep away from this boy. If all else fails maybe she should go to one of his teachers or a school counselor.

Just catch her on a calm day and tell her you need to ask her a personal question. Ask her if she feels better after the outburst because they make you feel bad. Talk to her without criticsm just be kind...

Leave her alone, she has no problem fighting her own battles. That boy keeps this up with her and one of these days he'll be picking his *** up off the ground.

Not that I have ever seen........a counselor at school might be able to help though........she should learn some anger management.....have you talked to her parents? I think I would tell her when she starts acting that way you are moving to another table....hopefully it works.

well it sounds to me like the boy deserves it... just because u tell her to ignore it dont mean anything.. u should ignore what she does if your a true friend.. and so should the rest.. Dont you think that she is hurt by what he is doing?

You've told her to stop. That's all you can do. If she embarrasses you enough you'll stop being her friend.
