I used to play the violin, and I liked it but it wasn't a passion, so I quit. I still play around with it from time to time, but not very much. However, a really good friend of mine has always wanted to play but can't because of a condition he has, and it makes his hands hurt too much.

He and I went to a music store the other day and were playing on the electric violins and he could only play for a few minutes before it started really hurting him. I felt so guilty for being able to play but not really loving it, because he really loves it and can't play.

I feel bad because I kind of wanted to take the violin back up anyway and see if I can get back into it, but I don't want to if it means he'll feel bad. Help!

I went to my friends dorm room yesterday. She is also best friends with my roomate. I said "Hey I just wanted to come over to hang out and to see what ur up to.lol"yesterday and she rolled her eyes at her friend and mouthed "omg." then looked at me. My instinct says she doesnt wanna be friends. She says that there is nothing between us. Is she lying or telling the truth?

theres a new boy at school and i really like him.some people are horrid to him. im not sure but i think he might leave if people keep being horrid to.

Are they shady? Selfish? Flaky? Or just plain don't care that they do this? I continue to keep going back for more because the friendship is important but now I don't want to continue putting myself out there. It happened again last weekend & now she wants to make plans for lunch which I know will be blown off. How can I best handle this?

I'm just a shy guy, i never hang out with anyone. just a loner, and i never sense like any girls around my city look at me or are interested. But one time, after highschool graduation i got a letter from a "secret admirer"(i found out later it was a person that was in my class in highschool). It was kind of fun and exciting. So i never knew it but someone was interested. that's interesting. But well it was only 1. So now at age 26, i don't really feel anyone in my block, around my town, ever looks at me or has any interest, but could there be a possibility?

One of my really good friends that I have know for about 8 years.. we just started hanging out again recently. Well she borrows my clothes and I dont mind that, but she leaves them everywhere... her trunk is full of stuff... she stays at other peoples houses, and she just borrows everyones clothes and changes where ever then leaves the clothes there. I have been asking her for about 3 weeks to bring my clothes back because I dont have anything to wear... Finally i got some of them back not all of them, and now she is telling me that she might have lost a pair of my favorite pants. If I was rich and could by new clothes... I guess it wouldn't matter, but I dont have a lot of clothes. Im trying to be nice and tell her nicely, but im running out of options.

My best friend is always hitting me playfully. She is a girl, I'm a guy, we are 15, and people keep saying she is flirting. Today, for example, she just hit me in the head with a school book (lol) for no reason. We have known each other for 2 years. First off, do you think this actually is her way of flirting? She doesn't do it to other people. And also, what should I do back? Should I also playfully mess around with her?

Neither did her husband. The way I found out was I saw a baby stork on her front lawn. It has been now 4 days since the baby was born and no phone call to me. I feel like I just got a slap in the face.
Should I call to congratulate or screw it.
PS we used to be close, but for a few months we just used to see eachother in the neighborhood and talk, occassionally on the phone, but not like it used to be.

There is this guy who I am going to Homecoming with. As it is now we are VERY close friends, but I want to be more then friends. He has a girlfriend, but he's told me he wants me more then her. Every time we talk he always tells me he loves me, and when I say it back he replies with a, "It means more coming from you then her (his girlfriend). For me, it is maintaining communication. I have friends who I talk to from time to time, but I would love to be able to connect better with them. Through changing jobs, marriage (or dating), having kids and moving, keeping in touch with friends is getting harder and harder!

my Previous BF has been telling people that I owe her money for using her cell phone. Which is a total lie! I make plenty of money and used her cell on a late saturday evening to call my mom because my battery was dead in mine...ONE time ever! I told her to show me the bill and I would give her the money "if she would prove it", well she never did and is now gossiping.I want to rip her face off. What suggestions do you all have.

ok. i was talking to this guy who i have known for about 2 1/2 years. and i've like him for that long too. but we never reallly talked like that. so we recently just started talking and hanging out and he told me that he liked me. well i was in a relationship and he told me that i should just break up with my bf and we'll "hang out." so i did and my bf was an a** to me anyways so it was ok. he told my friend that he liked me and could see us together. so we kept talking. well then all of a sudden he just stopped talking to me. so i question his actions. i asked him if there was something i did wrong that he stopped talking to me and he said no. i asked him why he had me break up with my bf if nothing was happening with me and him and he said he never told me that he said that. so i said w/e and asked him if he really did like me and he said yea but he couldn't see me as his gf. he doesn't know why but he just can't. so what should i do? i've cried and thought of reasons why but idk...

I feel my brain lets me down wen i need it most. I kno der is nothin 2 b afraid bout but things dont work for me in d most demanding situations N I end up makin a bad situation worse.I get nervous, start stutterin n cannot mak it out @ tht particular time. I am fine wen i am prepared but I feel I cant b prepared for evrything in my lyf.. there has to b some basick principles to cope with this sort of problems. Mam.. A co-worker had invited me to an instant message chat with several others. So we all were chatting except for her. She wasn't aware that she had started the chat. Someone asked where she was and I jokingly said, she's a slacker. FYI: Her supervisor was in the chat too. Apparently, she didn't take it as a joke. I attempted to apologize and explain to her; but she wouldn't even listen to me. I got mad and said, "glad we're grown up and can talk about this". I told her supervisor about it and let her know that I thought my co-worker was an asset and hardworker (far cry from slacker). Things are awkward at work. She walks by me and doesn't say anything and will walk the opposite way when she sees me coming. What do I do? PS. I've joked with her in the past and I'm sure she's heard me use the word "slacker" before. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
