... say it anyway: Why do I feel such a strong bond and camaraderie with all you good people on Y!A, especially when we don’t even know each other that well? ... And no, it is NOT because I am drunk, high, overly sensitive, mentally ill, dysfunctional, naive, co-dependent, bored, recovering from a traumatic event, or was ever underprivileged, religious, an atheist, looking for cheap thrills, in desperate need of joining a social club, "necessarily" a nerd (lol), or even lacking good friends in real life (in fact, much to the contrary). It's just that being here in the company of all you wonderful people, "somehow" makes me feel tremendously thankful for the opportunity. Sort of like a sweet addiction, but not exactly. ... Please don't take me wrong, it is not that I am questioning this great feeling at all, but sometimes I wish I had a better grasp of why exactly that is. ... Thanks for your perspectives, in advance.

there this girl wth who we were best-friends last year but all of a sudden we stopped talking..she prefered to spend more time wth some other friends and wasn't really paying attention to me so we stopped talking...yesterday she came and told me that she wants to become best-friends again but i don't want to..and i also don't feel like we can be friends again...so how do i tell her without sentimentally hurting her..?

i recently kicked out two friends who were a couple- but the behavior of the woman was really the cause. i nanny my sisters baby of 18mo. and this woman{we'll call her mary} mary was constantly coming home drunk and acting out and being horribly loud and obnoxious. in the best intrest of the baby i kicked her and her man out. i feel bad, but was i right??? i feel that my apt, should have been respected- and the rules- now mary is yelling everyone's business and mine all over the neighborhood! im embarrassed, though iv'e done nothing that i feel i need to hide so how should i handle this,???- because i don't feel like fighting with a woman who is a constant drunk now and loud and is just mean-spirited .

Friends are meant to be for ever who will help in your ups and downs of your life. But in my life its totally opposite. i have made friends, but now i regret i would have been better without a friend. i had a friend which after some time was converted to love. i told her about my feelings and that was the end of our relationship. does telling about your feelings means that u will even break the freindship which had a four yr old foundation. and it broke just like a palace of cards. i made another friend, coz of the past experience i have kept a distance and it was a pure freindship. but that girl also used me for 6 months and when she had big circle of freinds she left me like a toy with whom she was bored of playing. now u people tell me wouldnt a person will think after this kind of experience that he is much better widout a freindship? Now how will i trust someone?

when i'm with my friends and there's more than two of us, my friends start ignoring me, i don't think they do it on purpose because i'm quite quiet but i keep getting left behind and stuff because they just forget i'm there! it's annoyin'! they all seem to have this one big group and i'm just not part of it. I no it's not just me because my sister and my parents have noticed as well, please help!
