I think that we allow people to treat us a certain way. Wether its our parents, friends, or signicant other. We give our power of ourselves to others. This is not good. You must have control of y that, so when you get treated badly, used, or hurt over and over again by someone you care for it realy hurts you as a person. Makes you not feel valued as a person. You need to ask yourself why you let this person walk all over you. Because there is some reason for it. You also need to ask yourself what is it that you are getting out of the situation because you are getting attention maybe negative attenion but its attention. I think that setting boundaries is really import. It not only helps you but it teaches others how the can and can't treat up. You can't fix what you don't acknowledge and most of all, you only can change yourself you cannot change other people. The only power we have is controlling ourselves. WE are powerless agains people, places, and things. Your thought.

My bf recently quit his job, it was a sales job and was a scam i would say. It took him a few months to find it after he got laid off from his other job. He made no money at this scam place, and actually spent around $2000 on expenses that arent going to be reinbursed. We were already in the red before then, but now it is rediculous. I am working at a call center full time bringing in about $1000 a month. He is not responsible with money. We have a very limited income now and the house is gone into foreclosure. We have had help financially but it still does not cover expenses. The gas has been shut off for a few weeks now. I have been very thrifty lately and for good reasons! He does not have access to my funds because he has a record of poor spending habit and impulse buys. He is mad because I will gove hima few dollars here and there but I do not give my money to him carefree like he has done to me in the past. I think he is just trying to ignore the fact that we are in dire

She was house sitting at my mom's apartment, and she was talking to a friend on the porch. They were both drinking, so I decided to knock on the door. I herd them putting bottles in the trash and when she opened the door, I walked in and looked in the porch to see the beer and wine coolers were gone so I was like man I could use a beer right now, do you have any? My sister looked at me funny, but her friend offered me a beer so I took it. My sis told me not to tell because mom would freak out. I told her that I have seen worse, and I would not tell. Why do girls always have guy friends. It is not uncommon to see a girl with and talking to 10 different guys at my school. If i had a girl and seen her talking to other guys i'd be pissed and ***** slap her!!

Besides how is a guy supposed to get to know a girl if she is surrounded by tons of "guy friends". Will it kill you to be single and alone for a short time?!?

I have no job, no money and I suffer from several chronic health issues that I take medications for. Women's shelters only keep you for about a month and expect you to be able to find a job, ASAP, clean, cook, etc or get kicked out. I have no living/non-abusive family, all of my friends are either financially stressed with full homes already, or battling addictions that I’ve gotten a hold of. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that homelessness is my only option other than staying until he kills me. I remember seeing on TV about a year ago that Palo Alto, Calif. had become a haven for the homeless in America. Its weather is mild and groups come around to give street people food/water/toiletries on occasion. It was also considered safer for homeless women. Does anyone know if this is still true? Also does anyone know if there are other places in the US that are similar where life on the streets would be less harsh perhaps? I can get a bus ticket from the Salvation Army.

I don't get it!!?? Why is it? My wife had an affair for about a year - we have since worked things out via talking and therapy.
For some reason, I cant get the idea of that "other guy" kissing her, and being inside her.
For me - its developed into a "need to know" everything about the other guy. What it was like, what he did, what she liked with him...his size...that kind of thing.
I hate to admit - its almost a turn on for me!
She does not seem to mind talking about the things they did -
My question is -
Do you think its better for me "not to know" all the details?
Do other guys find excitement in hearing about all the sordid details about an affair?
For the women - if you cheated - did YOUR husband want the details??
