He is a 21 year old CS major with good grades and living at home. He and I are working together in a very good internship away from his home. Constantly he belittles himself and "works to improve himself", which means studying when he gets home, often well into the night. Keep in mind he is not taking classes. I never knew why he had such a low self-esteem and felt compelled to work so hard until I overheard a phone conversation he had with his father. I think his father is overbearing and pressuring him to work too hard.

I have tried and been successful at getting him to have fun and not work all the time. I think he would be much better off learning on the job or at school and having relaxation time after work. He is only 21. However, I can tell our conflicting pressure is wearing on him. Further, his conversations and relationship with his father are not my business, making it hard for me to confront him about it. Should I let his father have his way or try something else?

My daughter refuses to talk to me.
she is upset with me because I stuck with a hard marriage, making her life hard also.
My DH and I get along very well now, but she is older now. and has children of her own.
She still thinks I shoud just up and leave my husband...
How can I convince her that I do not want to do that, I am fine, we get along well now.

Here’s the situation, wife wants to “hide” and protect money set aside for savings and retirement, etc. from husband with major gambling problem. Will having a savings or brokerage account in her name and a daughter’s name only be sufficient to protect from any “legal” proceedings (eg. Divorce, separation) or does the account need to be placed in a living trust or other estate planning tool? This issue seems to me that the money put away constitutes as “community property” in CA. CA is a community and no-fault divorce state.

This guy and I have been dating for 3 mos. However, I've noticed that his affections that he shows for me has siginificantly decreased in the past month and a half. He has told me that he is not a PDA kind of guy from the beginning, but when the Private Display of Affection isn't there, it worries me. I am an independent woman, and he knows that, and respects it, but it almost feels as though he is giving me too much space. We go play tennis(common hobby) all the time, but when I ask if he wants to hang out afterward, he usually says no. We hang out a lot on weekends and have sex regularly, but he is never there for me during the week after work. He is 26 and I am 22. His previous relationship was a long distance one (for 2 years), so i'm wondering if it's that he's used to being alone but in a relationship at the same time. I know he isn't dating other women, but we haven't had the DTR talk yet. Is he losing interest me? If so, should I even bother continuing with this?

I have noticed lately, as a guy, that on my first day back to my university, that I am attracting a ton of women to me who are both intellectual and beautiful. It is a surprise to me because I have never had this kind of attention before, and over the summer I did mature a little more as I am now a Junior in college. My question however, has to do with this attraction as I want to understand why this is so now. It seems like the more women that are attracted to me or anyone for that matter, the more will be attracted later on. It's as if women want what other women want and if they know another wants you, they will want you as well. Is this a correct assumption? Have you seen this as well or is this just a special case per-say? What attracts you to a man or woman?

Ok,I served my husband with divorce papers by certified mail...i want to notify the court house in md that hes been served but i forgot to make a copy of the writ os summons.Can i still send them the form and the little green card with his signature?would that be enough or is it neccessary to attach a copy of the summons?

My bf been ignoring me for no reason, on Saturday nigh he called me and said how come u didn’t call me and I said I just got off work I was about to call u, and he said ok then I will talk to u tomorrow and he hung up on me. My ex and I have 2 kids.Well he hasnt spent any time with them since christmas last year.I've tried to get him to take the kids but he says no.My neighbor told me he's been lieing and telling his girlfriend that I never let him see them.My neighbor also said that his girfriend said she would kick my a** if I was talking $#!t about her.All I've ever said about her was that I thought she seemed like a nice person.Anyway he calls yesterday saying he wants to see the kids.I asked him why he was lieing to his girlfriend about me not letting him see the kids then him and his crazy b!t<# start cursing and hollaring.I tried to scream to his b!t<# that it was a lie but of course they were so into verbally attacking me I could'nt be heard.I hung up.Then he calls back and I said to his girlriend this is really none of your business and she said Im making it my business.I asked her when did she and lay down and f*** and make these babies.What would you say or do if you was in this situation?
