Everyone says that I'm such a heartbreaker and that I let guys who ask me out down too harshly. Sometimes I even lie and tell them that I can't go out with them because I already have a boyfriend...even when I don't. Any tips on how to let the guys down nicely?

just go out with them and be friends you never know when the shoe will be on the other foot so you better not be to mean to people because the people you hurt will be the ones you want in the end. And who know the guys could only want to have fun and hang out nothing sexual

I think telling someone you're flattered but you're not available is as easy a let down as you can give. You don't have to actually say you have a boyfriend if you don't, but the implication is there and if it soothes their ego, so be it.

telling a lie is good. I mean, if you dont just want to say no, tell them you have someone else, or you'd like to be friends but are not ready for a commitment.
My friend always uses the "im not ready to date, i just want to be friends"

Do what i did to get rid of this one guy: Say that you're not particularly impressed by guys and that {while he may be a sweetheart} you're not interested in a relationship or even in dating and won't be for a while.
