I asked this first on a fashion forum, not realizing that there was a more appropriate one... I will try it here.

Ok, so first of all, I know the person you get it from is most important. I just wonder if you think this would be too small of a diamond to get as an single solitaire engagement ring.

First, the diamond has some excellent qualities:
Color is highest quality at Color Grade D
Clarity is quite high at VVS1
Cut is a Brilliant Rose

Now, the carats--only .43

So the question is: would you be secretly disappointed the diamond wasn't bigger, even if you know the good color and clarity?



I should add that I am the giver of the ring, not the recipient!

This is what guys have to think about when they decide to pop the question--how big to make it, whether to sacrifice size for quality, is she going to be proud, or secretly wish it were larger, etc.? There is a whole host of insecurities alongside as you buy an engagement ring!

Since I was in school and white guys had their group, black guys had their group too, East Asians, Hispanics, and East Indians had their group, I always hated racism.

I didn't belong to any of the other ethnic groups, and I was completely isolated, unabled to have not a single friend. That's why I hate racism, I hate that people only stick to their own.

I hate it because I'm the only member of my race around and that has made my life very, very lonely. When is this going to end?

I'm in my early twentys but I feel old becuase I get sick alot and been through hell this past year and a half. problem is I like this guy, and I've liked him ever since 2002 or so but I've never had the guts to risk putting out my feelings for him becuase of the fear of rejection. I don't know if he has a girlfriend though, but I know that I'm really sick and I don't have as much time as others. I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet, but it's just something I know about. Also, if I tell him how I feel and he doesn't feel the same, it would make things worse since he's a family friend and every now and then I see him at family gatherings and no he's not related to me.

There was this girl that sat with my group of friends every day at lunch, and we became firends. I really like her and finally got hte courage to ask her out and she said yes. but then she avoided me for the rest of the day. no rude answers please. me and my husband split up recently for alot of reasons. i disrespected him often and what not and was down right rude to him. So i moved out and took the kids with me. He wants me to come home with our children and live in the same house with him so that the kids can have both of us. I love my husband and would do anything for him i was being a b*tch so to speak. and he found i did something a long time ago that makes its worse. but the question is he said when i come home with the kids nothing changes how can you live in a house with your husband wife whatever and not be together? he doesnt have no one else and neither do i. and i know he would never bring a female into our home and i would never do that either.
