i have been writing this guy in prison, and he says he wants to get with me when he gets out. should i believe

i would say if you didn't know him before go and visit him when he's still being watched (like visit the prision) get to know him a little bit. also talk to people who know him. his lawyer, if any family, friends,ect. It could be nice to meet him to know your letters ment something but i don't want you to get hurt. so good luck. and i hope the best for you! and if your uncle knows him there is another person to ask/ talk to. again GOOD LUCK! and don't listen to all these people. not everyone who goes to jail is bad....could have been a small charge, could have been wrong place at the wrong time ALOT of peopl (more that most would think) end up going to jail for not completly their fault. so don't worry about it hun.

Will it be a good idea to get together with him? I think not, unless you really know the man, and I don't mean just through his letters. Prisoners have to lie just to get by. They have to be sure to not make anyone too angry with them, they have to help cover up the illegal activities in prison so lying is part of their survival. They want to make the parole board happy with them, most are more than willing to lie to the parole board, and your letters that make it seem like you both are in a stable relationship is one possible way of making themselves look good.

Plus it is so easy to lie in a letter. I'm only a 16 year old female from Colorado, named John Benay R. all those stories about my death were a lie. (But, if you look at my profile you will see I am lying, or am I?)

No, for sure NOT. Check out statistics for prisoners re offending. And remember he is a Prisoner!!!! Chances that he is innocent are very slim!! There are a tonne of guys out there that haven't broken the law, pick one of them.

first of all, why is he in prison in the first place, if he like killed someone then obviously run!!! or if he went to prison out of being stupid (drunk driving and assaulting an officer etc.) then u can wait, and only if u know him from before.

i was in a similar situation as this one and honestly if he is telling you that he is game about you than go for it. but these guy are usually looking for some where to stay for a while till things get better for him, do you know him from b4 or did you just meet him i say think about it and if you are just looking to have a good time than go for it JUST PLAY IT SAFE
